Description

This beautiful log cabin provides a great family base to build fun memories and has the bonus of a shared hot tub (at cost).

These cosy log cabins (refs: 31133, 31134, 31135 and 31136) provide an ideal rural location for couples, families and larger groups of friends, as well as those with additional access needs. Hoe Grange Farm is a traditional, 250-acre, beef and sheep farm on the edge of the Peak District National Park, and has been in the Brown family for over 60 years. Young children will love meeting the farm animals, collecting the eggs and learning all about country life. As a working farm you will, from time to time, experience the usual countryside noises; mooing cows, the early dawn chorus, clucking happy free range hens, tractors muck spreading and silaging. There may be the odd fragrant farmyard smell and occasionally tractors might be working late in to the night (though not very often if the owners can help it!). The Peak District is a treasure trove of flora and fauna. At certain times of the year you can see rare plants, such as orchids and cowslips, as well as birds such as buzzards, kestrels , swallows and skylarks, and wildlife like foxes, badgers, hares and weasels. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with laminate floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (6ft), 1 twin (zip and link, can be 6ft double) with en-suite wet room and toilet. Bathroom with shower over Jacuzzi bath and toilet. National Accessibility Scheme graded Mobility Level 2, Hearing Level 1, Visual Level 1.

Electric woodburner in living room included. Ground source central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. We were exceptionally pleased with this accommodation. The owners were most friendly and helpful and the property was very well adapted to suit a disabled member of the family. An excellent level comfort was found and the cabin was well equipped with everything we could need. We were very impressed with the eco-friendliness from the power supply to cleaning materials. A short walk up the hill to the old railway track, now adapted for walkers and cyclists provided excellent walking in both directions with splendid views. All the family members said we must come back here again, which I think sums it up.
