The property also boasts a large private and fully enclosed garden. While The Drake Studio (27747) is semi-detached cottage with ground floor accommodation. Such generous and giving hosts - not just by the welcome arrival treats but by the way we were made so welcome, we felt like house guests - there was absolutely no ‘them and us’ and they generously shared their grounds with us for walks and exploring. The comfortable beds in the cottage face doors to the garden with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and countryside - so relaxing to wake up to and meant cool nights during a heatwave.

This is a lovely little cottage! The owners Angela & Rob were so welcoming and made us feel at home right from the start. The garden was lovely & very private. I found other reviews of this cottage very helpful, especially the recommendation to bring oven gloves & tea towels; if you intend to do a lot of cooking, you might want to bring extra knives and/or forks, as only 4 are provided, which means a lot of washing up while you are preparing meals! This is not a criticism, just an observation - after all, who goes on holiday to cook? The cottage is perfectly situated for visiting local NT properties; there are lots close by, so not too much driving. One small suggestion - a Visitors Book where people could recommend places. We have really enjoyed reading these in other properties we have stayed in. Many thanks Angela & Rob for such a lovely stay!

A very lovely set up; cottages have access to a large beautiful garden (completely dog safe) and are perfect for touring Bristol, Bath and Cotswold areas. Very friendly owners, homemade bread with all basic provisions found on arrival.....including a bottle of bubbly ( not really basics but very welcome!) Two middle-aged people and two lively dogs had a great time! Thanks!

Very comfortable and welcoming cottage in a quite and peaceful location. The welcome gifts of bread, milk, jam and logs and fire lighters etc., was unexpected and a very nice touch from the owners. I always look to see if what I find is what it "says on the tin" and it did. No surprises - we enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again if in the area.

The cottage is very comfortable, clean and attractively decorated. We were welcomed warmly and provided with an excellent welcome pack of food, which we appreciated. Hinton is conveniently placed to visit lots of interesting places. In particular, the park and ride to Bath is easy to reach. A lovely place for a restful holiday
