Ourselves Freddie and Lola loved our week at Hilltop they just missed their garden although the patio area is lovely not very dog safe no gate but they loved sitting on the balcony enjoying the fabulous view. Only one negative the plant pots claiming territory of car park a pain getting in and out of the car sure a line would be enough . Having said perhaps my back pain made it a problem !!

We really couldn't fault Hilltop and would certainly go again. It is a wonderful coastline with Wales in view from the lounge and Kilve beach is most interesting with lots of fossil evidence. Hard to walk on though - so if you want sand, head for Dunster and Minehead.

Excellent accommodation with high quality furniture and fittings including really good quality towels. It had everything you could possibly need. There was a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated. Upside down house with bedrooms on ground floor but that meant good views from living area. Nit picking but master bedroom was a bit cold but nothing too bad. Has a nice outside garden but too cold at the time we went to use it. Would be a bit of a walk to Kilve for some but we did walk it. Just a few days there but weather was great and some good walking. Highly recommend.

The directions could have been better. They state that the property is "just on the left after entering Hilltop lane". It is over 3/10ths of a mile and the directions could be more accurate. The property was very clean. Appreciated the "treats" supplied by owner. Enjoyed staying here.

A high quality barn conversion in a beautiful setting. Views over the Bristol Channel to Wales, and walks from the doorstep to the coast and inland to the Quantocks. A comfortable and well-equipped holiday cottage , lovely to return to after a day out, especially in the changeable December weather. The courtyard garden is pretty, but not enclosed so young children and dogs would need supervision (although the lane is quiet, it does have some traffic and horse riders). The rental doesn't include any supply of handsoap, shower gel etc or Jaycloth type things for any in-holiday cleaning.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. It is a very tasteful and stylish barn conversion with a nice cosy feel to it. It is fantastically equipped with high-quality furniture and kitchen equipment and a welcome pack of local goodies was a nice touch. Snuggling in front of the log burning stove of an evening was a particular highlight for us, with plenty of firewood being provided. Location-wise it's handy for the coast and the Quantock hills although Kilve is a pretty quiet place! We heartily recommend the local pub, The Hood Inn, where the food was excellent, the atmosphere lovely and the welcome very warm. We definitely plan to stay in this cottage again.

Fantastic cottage, found up a typically narrow Somerset country lane, lovely location with sea view. Great base for cycling with secure shed to store bikes. Large well equipped kitchen, comfortable living room and we particularly liked the large selection of DVD's and books, plus the welcome pack. Although we didn't have a dog, the cottage is dog friendly with a spare lead provided. The only negative was that the mattress on the double bed was not that comfortable especially on one size, probably just down to age/use. Would definitely book again. Damage deposit returned very promptly.

Beautiful cottage, comfortable with everything you might need. Lovely outside seating area. Very peaceful and great for wildlife and view. One pub and small convenience store in Kilve but sadly not a short walk so we needed the car for everything. Unable to let dog out freely from house as the cars that do come down the lane can be quite fast for such a narrow lane. No secure garden area for pets and definitely only parking for one car.
