Loved it, would happily go again. Excellent cottage, with much attention to detail, down to a bottle of wine and a dish of sweets! Also, eg, a torch on each level in case of a power cut. Very comfortable, loved it, and a good location for the Forest of Dean. Being a village, a small journey to shops etc. Road outside not very busy.

A really well planned and equipped cottage. Owners have done a good job in creating such a comfortable place to stay, making the most of the space. The area has a lot to offer and caters for a wide range of ages and interests.

15 minutes drive from the cycling centre in the Forest of Dean! Great. There don't appear to be any shops in Clearwell so one is dependent on a vehicle. Plenty of shops within 10 minutes drive. Great house, though, with off street parking for one car. The room layout is comfortable and the kitchen roomy and well equipped. The wi-fi is reliable in the sitting room and upstairs. We appreciated the welcome pack and that there's a washing machine. The house isn't ultra modern nor the presentation slick but everything works and it feels homely. We'll definitely have it as our first choice next time we visit the area.

A lovely spacious cottage in quiet village location within easy driving distance of several places of interest. Location would be perfect if Clearwell had a village store - nearest shop / supermarket in Coleford, couple of miles away.
