What can i say other than.....WOW!! It's a beautiful traditional cottage. I couldn't fault it. Cosy, peaceful and immaculate. Whoever keeps this cottage clean and tidy wants a gold medal, it's was spotless. Lovely atmosphere. Decorated really well, some really lovely touches. Everything thought of for our lovely comfortable 3 night stay. The wood burner was set up ready to light and it was just delightful as the winter's evening are cold!!! However, switching the heating down helps as it can get a bit warm!!! It Snowdon our last morning and it just was the icing on the cake. Would I stay here again......100%. Thankyou to the owner....this cosy cottage is a credit to you. Loved it.

We have been in several cottages over the past few years, in different parts of the country. Highfield barn was by far the best out of several very good cottages we have previously visited. It provides everything one could really need and more. Also there's places of interest no matter which direction you go. Thank you Peter for a very enjoyable holiday and your items you left for us on arrival. Rosie our dog loved it as there were plenty of areas for walks on the outer limits of Brough.

An ideal location to explore North Yorkshire eastern Lakes and parts of Durham. In the past I have passed through Brough but the area has alot to offer as the weather was fine for the area I can say a most enjoyable week
