You’ll also find a cycle track and lots of birds and wildlife.

If you want to get out and about, the A59 can be reached within 1 mile giving easay access to Skipton where all amenities can be found from supermarkets and a train station to a leisure centre, trendy bars and canal boat trips. Children will love the play area and Billy Bob’s Parlour at the Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream Farm just a few miles away, then continue to Grassington with its individual shops and tea rooms, or Bolton Abbey for a relaxing afternoon and woodland walks by the River Wharfe. Shops and restaurants 3 miles, pub 1 mile.

Higher Scarcliffe is extremely comfortable-- a "farmhouse" kitchen with Yorkshire stone floors and modern appliances, very well equipped for making meals; great beds and pillows; a high-ceilinged Great Room where you can sit and relax in front of the fire. The conversion has retained all the character of the original farmhouse without feeling dowdy and outdated. I loved this place. I must mention the incredible views -- the sheep, fields, stone walls, the dramatic skies: postcard perfect. One caveat: if you are used to wide North American roads, you may find the drive in somewhat nerve-wracking.

Fabulous Yorkshire Long Barn in a stunning location. Amazing views from every window. Loved the vaulted ceiling in the main living area, the huge fireplaces, the thickness of the walls, the mezzanine den area, the cosy snug, the fabulous dining table with views over the Dales, the farmhouse kitchen where everyone loved washing up as they looked out at the view from the window. Dog friendly too, our little pooch loved the space to run around inside and outside. Milk and wine in the fridge and a little gift of cake on the table were lovely touches too. Can’t fault this place, we had a fantastic week, with various family members coming to visit and the space to accommodate everyone.

Lovely cottage which was situated in a great place however it wasn’t within a mile walking distance to the local pub. The beds were very comfy. We would recommend putting chicken mesh at the bottom of the gates so dogs could be let lose in the garden, and not to have to worry about the sheep. Also sharper knives and more utensils such as potato masher and wooden spoons. Overall fab place and would love to go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Higher Scarcliffe! The view has to be seen to be believed. We loved the peace and quiet, and found the comfort and equipment to be exactly what we needed. It was more like staying in a private home than a holiday property with all the lovely artwork and furnishings. The only thing that could be improved was the communication re the keycode for entry - we made a very last minute booking and found it tricky on the weekend to get hold of people.
