The most wonderfully furbished one bedroom, two person cottage I have stayed in. Immaculately laid out with the most wonderful two person hot tub to soothe those tired legs after a good day's walk. A lovely little property :)

We had a great time at The Byre. The cottage was beautiful and very warm and cozy. We liked how the cottages were in an isolated location but still only a short drive to the nearest town. There were good walks nearby and being able to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day was lovely. Really enjoyed our holiday and would love to return.

Such a beautiful cottage and the hot tub being straight out from the bathroom on the raised decking was well thought out when this property was renovated. Amazing views and the rocks around the hot tub (which is very private) light up with spot lights on a night and are stunning. The bath and shower are both really nice. The bed is really comfortable and bedding is top quality, everything has been thought of and is all high end stuff within the cottage but unfortunately somethings inside the cottage are starting to show a little wear and tear, the sofa is a little grubby & badly marked, pans have been scratched so badly that everything sticks in them as they no longer have a coating, the outside table & chairs are coated in green moss so watch your clothes, but this did not affect our stay its just a shame they have not been looked after when used by others. Both an iron & a hair dryer have been provided so no need to take your own, all crockery and cooking utensils are provided, I would say to take a tin opener as the one there is rusted & will no longer turn. The walks around the farm are great and our dog loved it, he is a larger breed dog & couldn't fit under the gate but if your dog was small to medium they could easily fit under the gap in the gate to the cottage. Wi-Fi strength is not good so leave any gadgets that use Wi-Fi at home. All in all it is a stunning cottage well equipped and beautifully renovated, we are already looking to book again but maybe the two bedroom one. I would suggest maybe a little repair book for holiday makers to be able to leave a note of anything they find that needs fixing or replacing as I know it is difficult to go around each cottage checking things out that the owners would never use and it states to let them know of any damages but you really don't want to be contacting them via text regarding silly things like pans & tin openers.

A great cottage with some amazing views of the surrounding areas. It wasn’t too far to drive to the key places in the lakes- between 40 mins to an hour depending on where you’re heading- but lots to do and near some good attractions. Lovely and cosy cottage which has been done to a high standard- hot tub was certainly a bonus!

We loved our stay here. The cottage was beautiful and the hot tub was amazing. We came here for our wedding anniversary with our little dog, the cottage is very modern with enclosed car parking for 1 car. The hot tub is on a decking area accessed from the bathroom which makes it easy to grab a quick shower before and after. The cottage does state that it enclosed which was essential for us having a dog, when we were going to be surrounded by a farm, as our pooch isn't very well behaved with sheep and cows, however the gate does have large gaps in it so with us having a small escape artist for a dog it was necessary for her to be kept on the lead at all times when outside, it's is however possible to block off the top of the stairs on the decking with a sun lounger so she was able to be on the decking with us while we were using the hot tub. We only had one small issue which was nothing to do with the property, but must have been the previous people to stay there just before us, and it was when I got out of the car on the passenger side there was a pile of dog poo, and then when we let our dog out for the first time later that day she managed to sniff out another pile, it's obviously not the fault of the property owner or the cleaners as it's not their job to pick up after someone else's pet. So all I would say is if you do take a dog just be responsible for their mess, it's so difficult to find nice places where we can go on holiday with our pooches so I feel as pet owners we should be extra respectful of the properties that allow it. We will definately be back at some point and will be recommending it to family and friends.
