It is an ideal home from which to walk directly from the doorstep, or for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and there is a pub with an excellent restaurant within ½ mile. For an alternative day out, explore the spa town of Harrogate, just 15 miles, which boasts a wealth of independent shops, pubs and restaurants and don’t forget to try afternoon tea at Bettys. York is a ¾ hour drive where there is a wealth of history with York Minster, The Jorvik Museum and the Railway Museum to name but a few of the sights. Alternatively explore Studeley Royal, a National Trust site, together with the amazing rock formations at Brimham Rocks. Shop 2 miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.
