The owners have thoughtfully provided a selection of books and games for alternative entertainment, should you prefer. The dining area seats four comfortably and is open to the kitchen via an archway.
Newly designed in 2023, the brand new fully fitted kitchen provides all the modern conveniences you need to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. There are two bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom is generous in size, featuring a kingsize bed and plenty of storage. The second bedroom has twin beds suiting children or adults and additional storage. Also on this floor is a bathroom with a corner shower cubicle, heated towel rail, toilet, sink and LED mirror. Access to the small, enclosed garden area is directly from the dining area. There’s a bistro table and chairs to make the most of the morning sun with a warm cup of coffee in hand.
The tiny village of Oxenholme is only 2 miles from Kendal and not far from the pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. There are plenty of walks on the doorstep including a walk over ’The Helm’ followed by a pit stop for refreshments, should you fancy it. More than a market town on the edge of the Lakes, there’s always something to do in Kendal – whatever the weather. This includes indulgent shopping experiences, delicious food and drink, adventurous activities, and leisurely strolls with wonderful views all around. Events and festivals are an excellent way to experience Kendal’s unique culture. You can reach Windermere and Ambleside in 30 minutes by car, traffic dependent. Ingleton Caves and waterfalls can also be reached in 30 minutes in the opposite direction. With the whole of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales both being easily accessible from this location and with so much to do in the area, you will be spoilt for choice.
