Myself, my partner and our dog stayed at Heather Cottage over the New Years Eve. The cottage was even better than the photos would suggest; very cosy, clean and romantic. Ben had a fire set up for us as we arrived and continued to be a fantastic and welcoming host throughout. The bath in the bedroom is a great touch. The surroundings are beautiful and you're only a short drive away form Richmond if you want to mosy around some shops. All in all great value for money and I thoroughly recommend it!

We had a lovely stay at Heather Cottage. The cottage itself and the location was stunning. The open fire and roll top bath were added luxuries, along with a very generous welcome pack & fresh flowers throughout- the owners have thought of everything you would need! Although the cottage is attached to the owners house, it doesn’t feel overlooked at all. You have full use of the garden, which is enclosed. There are walks from the doorstep and lots of places to visit nearby with beautiful scenery. The only downsides were the WiFi which was intermittent (but nice to be cut off from the outside world sometimes!) and larger supermarkets approx 25 minute drive (Catterick Garrison), but there are smaller shops in Reeth and Richmond. Leyburn is also a lovely town to visit. Overall we had the perfect getaway and would love to return. Thanks again to the owners Ben & Sue for a lovely stay & your hospitality. Helen & Ashley

A beautiful cottage, run by lovely people. Everything about this cottage was perfect for us, from the amazing bath and coal fire to the well equipped kitchen. The only category I marked it down on was local amenities, the nearest shops/pubs are a couple of miles away. This didn't bother us. We were amazed by the total silence at night and the amazing number of stars that were visible. The perfect away from it all location.
