Visit some of the beautifully scenic fishing villages of the Moray coastline, peppered with miles of unspoilt beaches, voted one of the world’s top 20 coastal destinations in 2017! Take a drive over to the west and you will find the beautiful Glen Affric and Glen Strathfarrar, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can walk and hill climb or try some of the finest mountain bike trails in Scotland.Further afield, take a trip to the beautiful Isle of Skye and on the way there you can stop and visit the popular Eilean Donan Castle. To the south, visit Fort William, the outdoor capital of the UK, where you can hike up Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain, or take the mountain gondola and ski on the slopes of Aonach Mòr. Some of the most spectacular scenery can be enjoyed from the top of the mountains and hills, a Munro bagger’s delight! Amongst the many activities available in the area are golf, with many courses within easy reach, mountain biking on numerous trails, hill climbing and walking with many forest trails on the doorstep, a variety of water sports on Loch Ness or on the Moray coastline and skiing and snowboarding in the Cairngorms or the Nevis range.
