What a beautiful cottage! We had a great time at The Old Workshop. Very comfortable, beautifully furnished, cosy and welcoming and so peaceful. It is also very dog friendly. There are some lovely walks around the area and some nice pubs and restaurants. I think we will definitely be returning to The Old Workshop next year. Many thanks to Joyce and Mandy for our welcome - the wine and cup cakes were very much appreciated...and enjoyed!

The cottage was absolutely wonderful, it had all the amenities and more! It was lovely & cosy, and the owners were very friendly. The cottage was in a beautiful location, away from the hustle & bustle of the city/town... We had a wonderful time .. going for walks, nearby Matlock & Chatsworth. Came back very relaxed. Thank you Mandy & Joyce !

This is a beautiful holiday cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The bottle of wine and homemade cake which greeted us was a lovely touch and we would not hesitate to stay here again. The only note to point out is that the location is very rural (which is a plus) however you do need a car to get around as the property is located up a very steep hill so if you want access to any amenities they are not in walking distance. This was not a problem for us as we self catered every evening.

This cottage is everything you could want and more. Set in beautiful, peaceful surroundings you can’t help but relax. The cottage itself is very tastefully decorated, well-equipped and the owners could not be more friendly, welcoming and helpful. Will be returning!

We had a great stay in the Old Workshop, the owners were very friendly. The cottage was clean, well equipped, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We cooked 2 full meals while we were there and found that we had all of the pots, pans, crockery and cutlery we needed. The beds were very comfortable with good quality linen and a very good duvet. The towels were of a good quality and plentiful, there were also towelling dressing gowns provided - very luxuriant. The location was great with short walks available down the lane to several footpaths. I highly recommend this cottage.
