Best holiday house ever! Every room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and a lovely garden for everyone to enjoy. Perfect house for families with plenty of room for 3 generations!

Although we enjoyed our week at Hearn Lodge, we were bothered by the amount of flies in the property. The cottage itself was very clean and tidy, the low rating on cleanliness purely refers to the situation we had to deal with every day to get rid of the flies.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; A very Happy New year to everyone who enjoyed their holidays with us in 2018. We enjoyed decorating Hearn Lodge to welcome guests for Christmas and assured them we were next door to help. Following guests feedback we have checked Hearn Lodge, it was cleaned on 28th December and unoccupied for 2 weeks since. There were 12 comatose winged ladybirds across the six south facing windowsills. They are attracted by a warm house or sun on window panes in colder weather, they do not affect cleanliness for which we are consistently congratulated. A hand held Dyson was available.

A fantastic cottage, it's like home from home but better and with views. Our hosts were very friendly and most helpful. The cottage was spotless clean, great kitchen, lovely living room, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Great location from exploring the local ar a and further afield.

Excellent house, well equipped, spacious, comfortable and quiet. Owners welcoming but then left us alone. Lovely garden with lots of little corners to sit in the sun - and good apple trees! Good pubs in the area and lots of splendid walks from the house.

We were so impressed with this house and its surroundings, we loved it. The rooms are large and spacious but the house gives a lovely homely feel. The gardens are beautiful and everything is so peaceful. The kitchen is really well equipped and the bedrooms are very comfortable, we all slept really well ! We would definitely stay here again.

Directions to cottage good would have liked a name plate on the gate just to confirm we were in the right place. More steps/stairs than expected, soon adapted as we live in a bungalow. Friendly helpful owners. Deli by steam train station exellent value for money.

One of the most comfortable and well equipped cottages we have stayed in, with a beautiful large garden. Well suited to our extended family gathering. Pub slightly further away than advertised and nearest well stocked shop 10 minutes drive. Helpful and friendly owners next door, but we did miss the usual information pack with details of local amenities, rubbish collection and shops etc . It would also have been nice to know exactly where we were allowed to go within the extensive grounds.
