It is surrounded by the high craggy hills of the Lake District National Park, at the end of a short, narrow private lane. There are lovely views across the valley and you can walk from the door. It is full of character and charm, with low oak beams and an inglenook fireplace. Well equipped, with a superb oak fitted kitchen, it is always warm and cosy and tastefully furnished in a homely cottage style. Windermere is close by providing a range of watersports and great climbing. For the less adventurous it offers a multitude of charming shops, pubs and restaurants to relax away the day. There are many attractions in the area including historic houses, museums, gardens, parks and galleries, not to mention the beautiful countryside this area is famous for. Shop, pub and restaurant 4.5 miles.
