We had a great holiday but the holiday home needs to be better equipped with storage for clothes, particularly the lodge. The whole place also needs a thorough clean. It's a shame as if well looked after it would be a lovely holiday home.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; The property is thoroughly cleaned between lets and is as clean as it can be. Unfortunately, nature is as nature does, and we can’t stop cobwebs appearing overnight.

A nice weekend stay, large enough for our group. Garden could do with re-landscaping or at least a tidy up with broken pots/slabs removed. Cottage tidy and clean but this could have been better, bins in lodge not emptied after previous guests, cobwebs and dust in places. Beds comfy and clean. Just a few niggles but overall a pleasant stay.

Hayne Barne is due an over haul. The kitchen needs replacing and was poorly equipped. The bin had no lid and the cupboard was dirty. Chickens had been in the garden leaving bird mess on the garden furniture which had not been cleaned off. The annex was very pretty and very new. We had no concerns with this. The front garden was also overgrown and in need of a TLC. The house is surrounded by other private dwellings with a great deal of junk left around them. Directions to the property were extremely poor, the postcode takes you somewhere entirely different. Would not recommend this cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. Though we have not had any previous complaints. The whole of the property was painted last year. The kitchen is done in a traditional style in keeping with the property. The bins are emptied at every change over. There are no chickens just seas gulls and birds, where birds nest and the garden is full of wild geraniums and wild flowers, not manicured. I live next door and sometimes the neighbours have goods delivered which is beyond my control, the drive to the property is clear. The directions are probably due to the sat nav, but all guests are sent written directions.

Lovely bank holiday stay. Owners most accommodating and welcoming. Particularly appreciated the welcome pack of bread, milk, eggs and fruit. Wifi was excellent. Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Large Aga type electric range. Lashings of hot water and good central heating. Log fire and log burning stove set up for use. Quiet location but distant noise from M5 a disappointment. The only bathroom is downstairs. Car definitely needed as location is a drive away from all local amenities. Our grandchildren loved the secure garden with sheep and chickens at the end of it. The bird life was abundant and delightful to watch. Lots of garden furniture. No barbecue.

We stayed at Hayne Barton Cottage as a group with young children. This is the second time we have stayed here as we found it to be a lovely cottage with lots of room. The owner provided stair gates, cots etc for the children and we found the owner to be very helpful but not intrusive. Quiet location but easy access to the M5 to explore. The fire in the evening was a great way to welcome in the New Year. Thank you for another great stay.
