"Surrounded by peaceful glades of woodland – the perfect venue for family and friends to get together..."

Nestled within a tranquil woodland setting. This 19th-century Italianate courtyard conversion, with substantial coach house, designed by Buckingham Palace architect Edward Blore, offers a unique holiday experience with its superb indoor heated swimming pool. These four award-winning properties are perfectly placed for exploring the abundant delights of Norfolk.
The Coach House and its adjoining courtyard buildings are the only surviving testimony to this once prestigious hall. Built in 1840, the Clock Tower entrance (with working clocks similar to that of the Palace) is thought to be the only other example of its kind. With four-poster beds and marble-top dining tables, the properties are tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The properties enjoy superb leisure facilities, including a 30-foot indoor heated swimming pool with full changing facilities, shower and W.C., an indoor games room with table tennis, pool table and a children’s play area. The Coach House, along with the three holiday cottages, are equally suitable for larger groups of up to 27 people, making them ideal for special celebrations and family get-togethers

Located at the epicentre of Norfolk’s finest attractions, guests at Haveringland Hall will find themselves only a short drive away from fine golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths such as The Marriots Way, The Bure Valley and Weavers Way. There is easy touring to the North Norfolk Coast, with Holt and Burnham Market (known as the Hamptons of Norfolk) just 12 miles, with delicatessen and excellent shopping, first class pubs and restaurants. Cromer (possibly most famous for its crabs), Sheringham and Caister all offering sandy beaches. Within a 30-minute drive are the Norfolk Broads at Wroxham, where visitors can hire boats for the day, or alternatively enjoy a leisurely day cruise. The nature reserve of Hickling Broad is a haven for migrating birds, including sandpipers, osprey and spoonbills; it also offers excellent fishing, especially for pike and bream, as well as a number of nature trails to explore.

Full of cultural attractions, the city of Norwich lies just 20 minutes away, offering interests to suit all tastes; from history and architecture to art galleries, shops and leisure activities. The splendid cathedral boasts some of Britain’s finest Gothic architecture with carvings adorning its interior, while high on a hill stands the 12th-century Norman castle, which now houses the Castle Museum. Within driving distance are Somerleyton Hall and the NT properties of 17th-century Blickling Hall (where open-air concerts are staged in summer), Felbrigg Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Sheringham Park. For family entertainment, there is a wealth of adventure activities and parks nearby – choose from Dinosaur Adventure Park, Thigby Wildlife, Pettitts Animal Adventure and Wroxham Barns, to name but a few. Shops 3 miles.

This was very good holiday accommodation. The sports facilities were excellent, i.e. the swimming pool, table tennis, pool and snooker table.

The house was spacious and looks better than pictures. Only complaint is having to pay an extra £50 for heating and the owners didn't turn it on until we arrived so the house was freezing for the first day and a half as they also had heating on a timer so it didn't stay on. The mattresses could also do with replacing.

We used the Coach house as a belated Christmas family gathering. We were looking for somewhere within 3 hours of London with an indoor pool and big enough for 8 and a dog. This was perfect, the pool was lovely and warm, the snooker table and open fire meant we had all our family together with ample space and great quality equipment available. The was also a games room but it was a bit too cold to spend too much time in there. It's an old property so don't expect high end bathrooms, they are quaint and in keeping. The shower in the pool area was better than our en suite, but that was fine. The kitchen was spotless and well equipped. We didn't get out and about but there did look like there was some nice walks. I'd suggest for a winter stay you do need the open fire going as well. The main lounge remained nice and cosy but after 2230 the heating went off so the rest of the property was 'fresh'. The pool area was lovely and clean and the availability of inflatable balls and net made for a very fun couple of hours exercise. The flagstone kitchen floor was also great for our dog, who we kept in a cage in the kitchen ...plenty of room to work around him. Our hosts also very generously left us a bottle of red and white wine and large box of biscuits along with 2 pints of milk. I'd definitely return and definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay.

The Coachouse is a great space for a family gathering, with fab kitchen and all utensils. The indoor pool was a fantastic extra. Our only criticism was it was December extremely cold and the heating went off at 10.30am and didn't come back on until 4.30, also went off again at 10.30 at night. Therefore the property just got warm then it went off, it would be best left on low and ticking over.Fortunately we had many sacks of wood that we brought with us and kept the open fire roaring. You only get 6 logs supplied)You also have to pay an additional fuel fee to stay in the winter, therefore we thought the house would be warm. The bathrooms need some TLC. We certainly didn't let the cold spoil our time in the Coachouse, we all came home feeling v relaxed.

Loverly place to stay not quite worth the money as we had all the extras to pay like heating and towels
