"Surrounded by peaceful glades of woodland – the perfect venue for family and friends to get together..."

Nestled within a tranquil woodland setting. This 19th-century Italianate courtyard conversion, with substantial coach house, designed by Buckingham Palace architect Edward Blore, offers a unique holiday experience with its superb indoor heated swimming pool. These four award-winning properties are perfectly placed for exploring the abundant delights of Norfolk.
The Coach House and its adjoining courtyard buildings are the only surviving testimony to this once prestigious hall. Built in 1840, the Clock Tower entrance (with working clocks similar to that of the Palace) is thought to be the only other example of its kind. With four-poster beds and marble-top dining tables, the properties are tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. The properties enjoy superb leisure facilities, including a 30-foot indoor heated swimming pool with full changing facilities, shower and W.C., an indoor games room with table tennis, pool table and a children’s play area. The Coach House, along with the three holiday cottages, are equally suitable for larger groups of up to 27 people, making them ideal for special celebrations and family get-togethers

Located at the epicentre of Norfolk’s finest attractions, guests at Haveringland Hall will find themselves only a short drive away from fine golf at Weston Park and Barnham Broom, and walking and cycling paths such as The Marriots Way, The Bure Valley and Weavers Way. There is easy touring to the North Norfolk Coast, with Holt and Burnham Market (known as the Hamptons of Norfolk) just 12 miles, with delicatessen and excellent shopping, first class pubs and restaurants. Cromer (possibly most famous for its crabs), Sheringham and Caister all offering sandy beaches. Within a 30-minute drive are the Norfolk Broads at Wroxham, where visitors can hire boats for the day, or alternatively enjoy a leisurely day cruise. The nature reserve of Hickling Broad is a haven for migrating birds, including sandpipers, osprey and spoonbills; it also offers excellent fishing, especially for pike and bream, as well as a number of nature trails to explore.

Full of cultural attractions, the city of Norwich lies just 20 minutes away, offering interests to suit all tastes; from history and architecture to art galleries, shops and leisure activities. The splendid cathedral boasts some of Britain’s finest Gothic architecture with carvings adorning its interior, while high on a hill stands the 12th-century Norman castle, which now houses the Castle Museum. Within driving distance are Somerleyton Hall and the NT properties of 17th-century Blickling Hall (where open-air concerts are staged in summer), Felbrigg Hall, Oxburgh Hall and Sheringham Park. For family entertainment, there is a wealth of adventure activities and parks nearby – choose from Dinosaur Adventure Park, Thigby Wildlife, Pettitts Animal Adventure and Wroxham Barns, to name but a few. Shops 3 miles.

This handsome and substantial holiday property features a full-size snooker table in its spacious living room , which also has a splendid open fire in cast-iron surround and large French doors to secluded garden. We had a superb weekend away at the coach house . Everything was provided for us, we even had some flowers left for our daughters birthday which was very thoughtful. It was totally relaxing. The children loved the pool and the me loved the full size snooker table. Also was a welcome, were a box of chocolates and wine. Lovely

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Coach House, as did my guests. I have two minor negatives amongst so many positives. No mobile signal combined with a weak wifi made communications difficult, if needed. And very noisy floor boards in a couple of the rooms disturbed some in the sleeping periods. If small things like that are not a problem I highly recommend this beautiful accommodation.

We felt that the property represented poor value for money. That's because it was only when we arrived at the property that we were informed there would be an additional charge of £85 to heat the property for a three night stay. We felt that was an extortionate charge made worse when we discovered the heating was on a timer that we did not have access to and was set not to come on until 6.30pm. Also, there was no information within the property to show the password for the WiFi. We only learnt the password when the proprietor responded to a text 48 hours after we had sent it. Given the poor phone reception in the area, not having WiFi access for the majority of our visit was a particular problem.

Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry to learn of your disappointment. We offer the following response to your comments. Heating: The agent you booked through clearly states that payment for heating is made directly to the owners along with the charge applicable. Standard heating is set for 10 hours per day and can be extended by phoning the number provided. Wifi: The code is displayed is close proximity to the Hub. We are surprised that you have given the facilities a low rating, particularly as we are regularly praised for the quality of the indoor swimming pool, full size snooker table and games room.

Lovely house set in a courtyard of others. Everything we need was there apart from champagne glasses and it would have been nice if towels were included in the price, especially for a long weekend. Garden needs work and Wi-fi was a bit hit and miss but it was being upgraded whilst we were there so may be better now. This property is on an old estate the grounds of which are shared with other holiday homes and is in the middle of the countryside. Nearer town is aylsham a short drive away.
