Set in a small hamlet, these carefully converted holiday cottages form a courtyard development where every care has been taken with the design, internal furnishings and their impact on the environment. Bell’s Barn (prop ref 25899) stands detached from the other cottages and is suitable for wheelchair users. Just a short walk from Crakehall, claimed to be one of the prettiest villages in the Dales, with a large village green overlooked by an imposing manor house where cricket and quoits teams often play. Nearby, the historic town of Bedale, 2½ miles, offers a weekly market every Tuesday and various events during the year, together with a range of individual shops, restaurants and pubs. Masham, renowned for the Black Sheep Brewery, is 10 minutes’ drive and Richmond with its Norman castle, Georgian architecture and thriving theatre is also easily accessible. Historic York and its many attractions is within easy driving distance. Alternatively, just enjoy the wonderful Yorkshire countryside either by car, bicycle or on foot. Shop and pub ¾ mile. Can fault nothing from the welcoming hosts to the cottage itself, beautiful cottage, has to be one of the largest that we have stayed in. The cottage had everything that you need while away from home. Would recommend to anyone

Really good place to stay, its on a small country road, but a couple of miles away is Beadale with lots to do and free parking. Accommodation very clean and tidy good value for money, the first place I have stayed with a clock radio in the bedroom which is good for the time . Beds were ok, all the modern stuff that you need to make it home from home. If you stay their you will relax, look up the chocolate factory down the road, and mind the animals as Bells barn is on a working farm.

What a fabulous cottage! We stayed here with our two teenage sons and our family dog. Extremely clean and stocked with everything and more you could ever need during your stay. A fresh bottle of milk and flowers were even there for our arrival. Perfectly located for a country walk around the village or just a short drive to neighboring villages with additional amenities. Aysgarth Falls and Knaresborough around 30 minute drive away. We would highly recommend a stay here or at one of the other cottages at this locataion,

Fantastic cottage and quiet location, a home away from home. A great stay, booked at short notice, a warm welcome by Steve the owner and his wife. Cottage clean, very comfortable and met all our needs. Lots of interesting places to visit within the local area. Will be returning for another visit.

What a gem !! Quite possibly the best equipped cottage we've stayed in and the whole accomodation was spot on.Warm and informative greeting by owner Sandy - thank you.Only slight downside is that Kirkbridge has only one pub (within a 10 min walk) and it doesn't open during the afternoon in the week. Thank you for allowing us to share your cottage.
