We had a wonderful time although our exploration of the area was curtailed by the snow. Good job we loved it. Would like to go back in the near future.

Lovely house in a pretty village . The house was clean, well equipped, warm and more than anything homely. The village has a tea room a cafe and local supermarket and 2 pubs. The surrounding area is stunning.

This old cottage is full of character. It is very well-equipped with ample room for 4 adults and is very clean. It is on the outskirts of the village. Both friendly local pubs are less than 10 minutes' walk away, as is the local Co-op selling all the essentials. You will be welcomed by friendly locals. There is a private parking area across the road, so the car is not parked in a vulnerable spot. Beamish and Killhope museums are within easy reach for those interested in local history. If you want to get away from the pressures of modern life this cottage will fit the bill.
