Lovely week spent here over New Years. Cosy and warm with an open fireplace which was a definite bonus and used every day! Our dog loved it too. Quiet and isolated with beautiful views over the moors which we walked daily. The walk across Ruth's (the owner) fields to the resovior was a particular favourite. Ruth was lovely, very welcoming and the biscuits and cake on our arrival was a lovely touch. Cosy cottage in a beautiful location, we will definitely be back 🙂

An excellent base if you like peace and quiet and countryside. Lots of good walking from the doorstep. The locals roads are narrow, so if you are planning lots of drives out consider that. The open fire in the lounge is a nice touch, and the views from the sitting room window superb, both by day and night.

Although we had a great time we found the cottage a little remote, only thing we didn't think we would miss, but we did for finding out about activities and days out was there's no internet .

We had a really lovely stay at Harry’s hideaway. There are wonderful walks nearby - the mosaic walk was great. We visited Pately Bridge, Ripon, Fountains Abbey and other beautiful areas. But the best thing was coming back to the hideaway and looking out the window at the sheep and relaxing. A perfect get away with family and dog.

A very friendly welcome from the owner, with homemade cakes and biscuits. The cottage is situated in a quiet secluded farm, giving you a great relaxing stay. The views over the fields with lambs frolicking, buzzards, kestrels etc was fantastic. The two local pubs closed at 2 and reopened about 5 so we didn't use them, which was a shame. All the surrounding towns/attractions are excellent. Would fully recommend harrys hideaway.
