Perched above the harbour, enjoy the sights and sounds of the harbour from this spacious apartment with its own balcony.

Harbourside Apartment is so close to the beautiful harbour that you feel part of the village the moment you arrive in Mevagissey. Perched above the harbour, the sights and sounds of gently bobbing boats, the cry of the gulls and the waves lapping the edge of the harbour can be heard from the balcony that overlooks the open sea beyond. The narrow, tiny lanes are lined with pretty cafes, gift and craft shops and local pubs that serve award winning ales and local food. The sandy beaches and isolated coves dominate the coastline and provide a beautiful natural attraction. Many of the beaches in the immediate vicinity have interesting rock formations, the perfect excuse to go crabbing in the many rock pools. Take the half hour ferry ride across the bay to Fowey with the possibility of spotting wildlife en route, or to fully appreciate the natural splendour of the area there is a virtually traffic free walking and cycling trail leading from Mevagissey to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. The cycle trail can also be used to get to the village of Pentewan with its cosy pub and non-working harbour that has been transformed into a sanctuary for wildlife and large sandy beach. South west of the village is the Roseland Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with golden sandy beaches, quaint villages, quiet lanes and coastal walks. For visitors in search of stately homes and expansive estates and gardens to explore then this area of Cornwall is a haven for magnificent National Trust properties. Stroll around landscaped gardens and inspirational surroundings, the perfect spot to relax in tranquillity or for a family picnic. Golf, sea fishing, cycling and surfing are all available locally. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit the harbour side apartment, great location and view. The apartment had everything we needed we wouldn’t have minded being snowed in there but sadly the snow melted very quickly! The apartment is very well kept and clean - we will return

Wonderful apartment and fantastic location. The view from the lounge is stunning! Some of the ceiling lights were not working but the biggest problem was one of the twin beds collapsed and my 88 year old father was in it and banged his head on the wall. Luckily he was ok but no one has been back to me at all after I reported it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner. Many thanks for your lovely comments on the apartment, apart from the unfortunate incident with the single bed I hope you enjoyed your stay. I was informed of the bed collapse immediately by my property manager who was initially concerned about your fathers health. I was informed that your daughter and son in law had left the apartment and that your father had moved to their room. Rather than unnecessarily disturbing you on your holiday the decision was made to replace the bed when you had left. Apologies if my property manager didn't get back to you to check your father was OK. I'm glad to hear he is well. I will inform the management team to check the lounge ceiling light, thanks for letting me know, sometimes these little things aren't always picked up on a clean.

The forth time of staying here. It's great with a big family as you have the three bathrooms so everybody has there own space. The actual apartment is gorgeous and overlooking the harbour the view is breath taking. The downside is the outside patio areas and ally leading up to the property is untidy and doesn't do the apartment justice. Also the first year we stayed we had a welcome pack of coffee and dishwasher tablets but you get nothing now and we also felt the price of the accommodation soap should of been provided in the hand basins after all you can get them easily for a £1. Overall though a fabulous apartment which is lovely and clean with space for everyone. Fresh clean bed linen and extremely comfortable sofas and beds. Great central location within seconds of shops and restaurants.

Response on behalf of the owner; Hello,I have just discovered that I can post a response to guests comments so apologies to all those previous guests that have left such lovely comments or constructive critique but from now on I will be posting a reply. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay for the fourth time. Many apologies for the lack of welcome pack, we certainly have not stopped providing one so I will be talking to our property manager who deals with such things. I also take on board your suggestion of hand wash. The issue of the approach to the apartment is an ongoing problem which is totally out of our control. It has been commented on by a number of guests and rightly so. Even though its not our property we have tried to the delight of local residents and businesses to tidy it up when we go down to the apartment but the next time we go its just as bad. I have tried putting pressure on those who are responsible but you can only lead a horse to water. On the positive side I'm glad the apartment makes up for outside.

The actual apartment and views are really great. The access to it (through an alleyway and up the stairs) is unpleasant and please disregard the mention of a 'patio' - It's not a place you can use and is continuously covered in seagull mess!
