This 400 year old terraced cottage, overlooking Watchet’s ancient harbour, is an ideal place for your holiday. Perfect for a family or group getaway, Harbour Cottage has plenty of room for all. Located right in the centre of Watchet, the cottage has a delightful, enclosed terrace backing onto the harbour. A great place to sit and witness one of the highest tidal ranges in the world. The two beaches are perfect for rock pooling, fossil hunting and are dog friendly all year round. Watchet also benefits from having a railway station connected to the West Somerset Steam Railway. This well-run line offers a great day out for all ages.

For those who enjoy walking, the famous South West Coast Path starts in Minehead, with the West Somerset Coast Path linking it to Watchet. There is a wealth of spectacular walking on nearby Exmoor, The Quantock and Brendon Hills. There are beaches at Minehead, Blue Anchor and Dunster and a little further afield are the brilliant surfing beaches of Croyde and Woolacombe. What a lovely holiday at this beautiful house. Perfect location- so many lovely pubs and eating places just yards away. The cottage is beautiful and so clean and well equipped, you feel at home straight away. Loved the village and its lovely shops, deli’s and cafe’s. A perfect week away for the olds, middles and young of age!

We really enjoyed staying at this cottage - especially the bedrooms and the sea views from the terrace at the back . Kitchen was super . Master bedroom bathroom was a bit too cramped and hot water in that shower not as good as the shared bedroom. My only " gripe" would be the rubbish arrangements as it happened that we checked out on a Thursday so had to take out practically 2 weeks of other peoples's rubbish from the bins on the terrace - not a pleasant task . Understand that in Watchet unlike in Spain for example public bins are not provided so these collection schedules are necessary

we had a lovely long weekend at Watchet, staying in this comfortable cottage. The courtyard garden caught the sun beautifully and waking up to the sound of the sea from the Master bedroom was a delight. Watchet itself was friendly and had everything we needed for a relaxing time and the local Pebbles bar was worth a visit and played live music one night. We would happily return and stay again. Highly recommend.

Harbour Cottage is a lovely cottage superbly located backing onto the harbour in the centre of the quiet town of Watchet. The convenience of local amenities is a real bonus, there is a 5 minute walk to a lovely quiet beach which is spectacular when the tide is out. Parking is via permit (provided) in the car park directly opposite and you can load and unload from thr parking spot directly in front of the front door. There are some lovely (dog-friendly) pubs within metres with the Star being our favourite. The house itself is a tardis, lovely and homely downstairs and extremely spacious upstairs with 3 very comfortable double bedrooms and a large loft with twin beds. All in all it makes for a perfect quiet break, Watchet is a hidden gem and Harbour Cottage a jewel at its heart.
