Description

This lovely barn conversion is the ideal relaxing retreat for a couple, with beautiful natural surroundings in which to make wonderful memories.

Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, within the peaceful hamlet of Llangenny, Little Hare Barn at Hall Farm is located on the slopes of the Sugar Loaf mountain. Set on a working sheep and cattle farm, Little Hare Barn is one of two detached converted stone barns on-site, and offers great accommodation in a great location. After busy days exploring the beautiful surrounding natural landscapes, return home for a cosy evening relaxing in front of the wood burner in the living room. Ideal for up to five guests, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this is the perfect base for a fun family holiday exploring the outdoors. The barn is ½ mile from the family farmhouse and boasts fantastic countryside views, 200 acres of grounds to explore and private parking. Guests can enjoy the lovely welcome pack left with local produce.
With Sugar Loaf walks from the front door and great views of the surrounding wild flowers and wildlife, including hares and harrier-hawks, it is the perfect base for a relaxing break in the countryside. The owners’ sheep graze around the barns in beautiful steep green fields and lush hedgerows set at the bottom of the valley, where water crashes down the Usk tributary. The stunning Brecon Beacons National Park is ideal for walking and mountain biking; explore the patchwork landscape leading to the common land of the Sugar Loaf mountain, with the Little Oaks or St Marys Vale area, where tundra oaks grow, and passing through the famous hill-gate of a hill farm. Across the valley, green with trees and pasture, rising to the Brecon Beacons foothills, the River Usk sits on the valley floor. Running along this is the A40, providing links to the various towns within the Brecon Beacons and beyond, boasting beautiful views along the way. Resting in the Black Mountains, amid history and art, where legend and hill farming meet, are the five valleys, Cwmdu (dark valley), Grwynne Fechan (small valley), Grwynne Fawr (larger valley), Llanthony and Longtown. The small town of Crickhowell is just 3 miles away with its array of shops and restaurants, and Abergavenny, known as the ’gateway to Wales’, is just 4½ miles away. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1¼ miles.
Hare Bach can be booked together with Little Hare Barn (ref UK6542) to accommodate up to 7 guests.

We had a fantastic three night stay, cottage very well equipped, cosy and very scenic location. Lovely welcome pack and Jane the owner came to check we had every thing we needed. Great walking direct from the cottage.

The property is in a great location with lovely views. It is a beautiful little cottage well fitted out with an excellent kitchen and bathroom. The only possible drawback is the lack of amenities nearby.
