This converted, Cotswold stone, detached agricultural barn offers holiday accommodation and lies adjacent to the owner’s home on the edge of the market town of Painswick, famous for its church and yew trees. It boasts delightful small shops, cafés, restaurants and historic pubs. An ideal location for walkers, with many footpaths nearby including the Cotswold Way. Bohemian Stroud, 2 miles, has an array of independent shops and a very popular farmers’ market. Many towns and villages are within a 25 mile radius, including the Roman town of Cirencester, historic Bath, Royal Tetbury, Cheltenham famous for racing and festivals, and Gloucester with its magnificent cathedral. The area is abundant with National Trust properties and other attractions such as Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust. The stunning, honey coloured north Cotswold villages, including Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden, are just an hour’s drive.
There’s plenty of living space in this ground floor accommodation with two living areas. The garden is a particular feature, from where you can enjoy beautiful views. In addition to this there’s a patio offering a seating area and garden furniture, and the added bonus of private off road parking on the driveway for three cars. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Nice cottage located in a very quiet and beautiful area. The cottage has a beautiful garden and there is plenty space for a family to have bbq party. Plenty interesting places to see nearby for a family with young children’s.

Met up with group of friends .The cottage delightful with beautiful garden .The weather was so disappointing, so unable to enjoy fully but still see 'wild life ' at the window. The owners most helpful and the welcome goodies much appreciated. A dishwasher would be useful when catering for six people.

Perfect for a family stay in the heart of the Cotswold's. A short walk into Painswick yet in the countryside enough to have several different animals on the doorstep, especially the Fox who the owners feed every evening. The converted barn would suit families or couples with each bedroom having On Suite, one of which is a small Granny flat with its own kitchen / lounge/ dining room and door onto a small patio. The barn is very well equipped for cooking a family meal to be eaten in either the kitchen /diner or the 6 seat patio table outside. A few basic provisions were supplied on arrival including the easy light coal ready to use in the BBQ. The tourist information compiled by the owners is extensive enough to enable you to arrive with little local knowledge and quickly pack your stay with things to do. If you are looking for a quiet retreat you can have that here with a large garden attached to the barn with sun loungers provided to enjoy the summer sun, surrounded by country life. My wife and I enjoyed the stay along with our 2 grown up children and their partners, and we would all come back again, whether its a weekend , long weekend or a week or more. The owners gave a warm welcome and were very helpful with local knowledge, and were on hand should you require them for any help.

The Barn was excellent. It was well presented and equipped, except that we would have enjoyed having a dishwasher as we were on holiday. However, it did not inconvenience us at all. The gardens are sunny and beautifully kept with very good seating areas. There is good walking from the cottage, plenty of parking, and more than enough space for 6 adults to have a really good break. Although we booked for 2 dogs, this did not appear to have been communicated, but the owners were not phased by this and provided us with a welcome pack for them as well as the welcome goodies for us. It was good that we were able to access the barn a little earlier, and the owners were very accommodating and helpful.

Friendly welcome to ourselves and our dogs by owners who live next door. Great location with walks from the door. As it was November we didn't use the garden - but could imagine that would be great in summer. Barn was homely and comfortable and very clean.

The cottage was absolutely lovely and with most things you need ,very modern decor and lovely scenery . The garden badly needs some maintainance work doing paving slabs and steps are all loose and sticking up and are quite dangerous especially if elderly people staying or very young children running around and its quite overgrown in places . Also could do with better wi fi connections and reception is very poor for mobiles , aslo could do with some more TV channels (very limited )
