Very warm and modern inside and old lodge outside. Cosy and very comfortable. We asked the owner Amanda for more pans which she provided immediately. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak we stayed from Friday to the next Wednesday then drove home to Devon.

Comfort was better than normally anticipated for cottages, although the settee was comfortable but was a little tired. Cleanliness, again better than normally anticipated, although lower shower area and single failed light in bathroom (due to transformer failure), suggests need for some tlc there. Local amenities, as expected in middle of nowhere, but plenty a short drive away. VfM: Place obviously deserved a premium for 95% of what was on offer during our off season stay, although VfM questionable during high season, given the couple of issues (above) and peak school holiday time prices. Otherwise, a perfect place as a base or holiday location, beautifully laid out, thoughtfully furnished and very dog friendly. A couple of minor issues encountered were quickly addressed by the owners who were very friendly and accommodating. Overall, 10, as it more than suited our needs perfectly as a base to visit our daughter in Brighton, with the added space and comfort that was provided.

Second visit, with third planned for May so needless to say we think it's great, both in summer and winter. Luxurious, but cosy. Generous welcome package. Large, well maintained dog-friendly secure garden. Very quiet village which suited us, but near to Henfield and larger towns for shops/cafes etc.

For those seeking 1st class accommodation there is no need to look any further. We have family in the area and are so glad we came across this property. We were well pleased with our previous rental and were disappointed when it was withdrawn from the rental market. However this property surpassed our expectations. Even if the previous property became available again it would be our 2nd choice. Grove lands Lodge will be of interest to those seeking a quality property which is -in our view-faultless. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

This is the best holiday let we’ve stayed in so far. Lovely spacious accommodation with everything you need for self catering. It also has a large enclosed private garden and easy of road parking. In easy reach of many National Trust and private properties and garden and not far from the coast.

A superb place to spend the week. Really feels like home. Would highly recommend it to others. High quality decoration and furnishings throughout and exceptionally good broadband with Sky TV and a collection of books, dvds and games. Very comfortable bed and plenty of space to put your clothes. Fantastic shower. This is the benchmark that all other holiday properties will now be matched against, it really was wonderful.
