Very clean ,comfortable cottage with great Shower room. Full stock of utensils etc. However as a couple in our 70's we found the stairs a bit of a problem hence why we would not return but would be great for a younger family. Lack of Phone signal or WiFi also marks it down a little.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. Yes phone signal can be a problem depending on network used. We find you can pick up good access whilst out and about. The stairs have handrails for guests use.

cottage appeared clean when we first arrived on closer inspection blinds dirty, bugs on window still, sides of cooker very dirty, kitchen top overrun by ants. The owners thought about special touches, bathroom had toiletries kitchen well stocked with utensils, they had an information file, and a first aid box. unfortunately I had to use it badly burnt my hand on log fire door handle. The stairs very dangerous I slipped down them banged my knee on door frame, my daughter went down them too. sitting room step very steep. sofa and beds need replacing. The outside light and hand rail in bathroom didn't work. parking space at bottom useful unable to turn car if you take it up to cottage. The owners contacted me before my visit which was a nice, they even contacted me when I messaged them saying I couldn't get in. The cottage is well decorated, with lots of nice touches.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Apologies regarding ants, they obviously turned up after our cleaning team had serviced cottage. We have had no further problems. The cooker and blinds are cleaned periodically and this has now been rectified. There are tools/gloves available to use when the wood burning stove is in use. Stairs are a little steep in keeping with a cottage of this age; however we do have handrails and would advise guests to use them. There is a step down between the sitting room and dining area. The outside light works on a movement sensor and needs to be switched on in the first instance, switch in lobby. Likewise, the towel rail works on a timer switch and also needs to be switched on as per instructions in our guide. The cottage is well equipped and positive feedback is appreciated.

It was a lovely cottage, but a little too quirky for us.The floor boards and stairs are very squeaky,so a trip to the downstairs loo at night is a noisy affair. The lack of wifi or phone reception made comunicating with friends difficult. Also the heater pull switch in the bathroom is broken and there is no heater in lounge appart from log fire.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Unfortunately rural Norfolk can be a little hit and miss for mobile signal depending on network. We find you can pick up good access whilst out and about. The bathroom heater switch has been fixed. Please always report any issues directly to us.

A lovely quaint cottage that is well equipped for pets. The only recommendation would be WiFi as there was no signal in the cottage for the whole duration of our stay.

Lovely cottage , wonderful surroundings, very nice neighbours . We went there for our 25th wedding anniversary, and we had a wonderful time. It was so nice walking on the beach with the dog and just relaxing. Lots of places to visit also , highly recommended this cottage . Can't wait to go back.

Very enjoyable stay in good location. However standard of cleanliness was below what we would have expected- floors not hovered or mopped and we had to wash cutlery & crockery before use.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner- We are sorry to hear your comments and will pass this on to our cleaning team, however we would expect that all cutlery and crockery are left clean and ready to use by previous guests.

Great time had by all, Lovely cottage , only improved by the addition of a freezer and less creaky stairs. Overall, recommended highly.
