Our family group of 6 adults really enjoyed our stay in this delightful cottage with its two sitting rooms, 2 bathrooms and lovely communal kitchen/dining room. Although we didn’t use many appliances there were plenty of them including a double oven and huge gas hob. There was also plenty of crockery which is so useful. There were a few minor jobs needed fixing and recycling was a bit puzzling but Janice advised us and we cracked it. The setting is good with large, quiet back garden beneath the hill. The local amenities were good with basic food shopping, bakery and lively pub/restaurant. The best was the little cafe/shop/bike hire Hub and also there was a decent fish and chip takeaway. The beach setting is spectacular with a quaint harbour but baffled as to how anybody got planning permission for the ugly housing development surrounding it. So why wouldn’t we stay again? Greenfield Terrace, yes, but Portreath, no. The awful smell from the harbour for most of the week spread across much of the lower village in cool weather! We may have been unlucky as this is intermittent I believe, but it needs solving.

Lovely well equipped house. Had a fab holiday. My only comment would be that the BBQ was left filthy and full of ash. People should be asked to leave it clean or the owner should arrange for this to be done.

The cottage is well set up for families, our grandchildren particularly liked the toy box. The cottage is very well equipped for self catering, lots of little things that made it feel like home. The only thing we would have liked are thicker bedroom curtains as we were all woken very early with the sunrise. We picked the cottage for its size and location, walking to the beach was a ten minute stroll and the beach was glorious. The Portreath arms and the bakery were both excellent.
