The cottage is clearly a money making enterprise for the aristocratic owners. They asked us to send a £250 cheque for breakage cover shortly before arrival. It was to be returned within a week of departure. We had to ask the agency for it 2 weeks later. They had cashed it into their account. Their cheque arrived with not even a compliment slip, let alone an apology. I felt they just sat on these deposits in the hope that some clients would forget about them. The property was poor inside. A few badly done flashy upgrades gave them photo cudos in their ads. The sofa in the main lounge had almost no padding left, so you balance on the underlying woodwork. The whole place is scrappy. When we arrived we had to go out and buy every little thing like salt and sugar. there was little practical furniture in bedrooms. This is the worst holiday cottage I have ever been in.

In truth the pictures and description didn't do the cottage justice. A really idyllic Cotswold Farm cottage in a wonderful location. The access road is a little bumpy but it is a farmers cottage and we as a family had a really memorable stay; highly recommend!

Rambling old house in lovely location. Let down by poor attention to maintenance of property. With a little tlc the property could be so much better.

A lovely cottage. The setting is beautiful with the cotswold way just a short walk up the hill. The house had so many rooms, toys were provided which our 3.5 year old loved and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped as were the utility room. There were dead flies all around the house when we arrived which were easily hovered up. Only one of the showers was warm so that meant 10 of us using that. Again just a small inconvenience. The size of the house and the location made up dor it. Also the owners were incredibly helpful and came round when we had problems.

Lovely house for a relaxing stay, but not really suitable for walking to the pub or shops, cattle grid at both ends of the drive so we had to carry the dogs over this, as you would with small children as well. I would of thought they could of put a gate in the fence to prevent this. Also we didn't have enough hot water for all 8 of us to have showers ect. TV had a very bad signal and you can only watch a programme if you download it first. It was a lovely house and was in the middle of no where, so if that's what your after this is the place to go.

Had a most enjoyable family get-together. (4 adults, 2 oldies, 3 kids 4,7 &9). Property is at the end of a farm track from a small village, so no pub or corner shop within walking distance, but supermarket 15 mins drive away. Lovely location great for walks (hilly) and bramble gathering. Cows and horses in surrounding fields provide interest. Baby pheasants everywhere. Property has been renovated, but now slightly run-down, which makes it more relaxing. Decent accommodation. Plumbing worked after initial problem with hot water solved. Good dining room and kitchen. TV and WiFi all ok. Good garden with tables for eating outside, but pity grass was not cut until day 4. Hostess responded effectively to any little problems raised. Would repeat.
