Green Cottage is situated less than a mile from the award-winning Weymouth Beach where you will find activities for all the family to enjoy from water sports, sailing or exploring the beautiful coastline Weymouth and Dorset have to offer. Internally the property has been very well furnished within keeping of the traditional cottage feel, externally there is 1 parking space and a rear garden to enjoy an evening under the stars. Stepping into the property you are welcomed into an open plan living/dining room with space for all the family to relax, the kitchen is well equipped and at the rear of the kitchen is the boot room/utility where you will find the washing machine. Also, there is a separate downstairs toilet. On the first floor there is the main bedroom with a double bed and sea views, and a family bathroom. Up to the second floor there are two further bedrooms one double, one twin. Please be aware the stairs are steep and narrow in parts within keeping of the traditional cottage style.
To really enjoy the stay, there is plenty to discover in Weymouth, with walks right on the doorstep, a short walk to Nothe Fort which offers 360-degree views across the Jurassic Coast, discover the maze of underground passages and museum of the fort’s history. For the walker among us, you can take in the breath-taking views from the Jurassic Coastline which runs from Poole Harbour all the way to Lyme Regis, with places in-between you will want to visit like Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Chesil Beach. Do not forget the camera for this trip. Portland is only a short walk or drive from the property where you can visit the famous Portland Bill Lighthouse and if you are lucky looking out to sea you could spot the resident dolphins.
If you wanted a day out you can travel to Poole Harbour home to the second largest natural Harbour in the world, where you can take boat trips to Brownsea island and the surrounding island with a tour guide. Home to over 300 marine species it has something for everyone. Monkey World and the Tan Museum are within a 30minute drive of the property which is fantastic day out for the children and adults. Back at the property Weymouth has plenty of local shops, restaurants and pubs which cater for the whole family.
