We liked the cottage very much. The parking was very difficult for my husband who is semi disabled. There were some nice walks.

Lovely clean cottage, bright and cheerful. For people interested in self catering, the kitchen has a large fridge and cooker but only very basic equipment. Lack of a frying pan meant no full english for the other half. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well, although the sofa in the living room left a bit to be desired, watching T.V. and relaxing in the evening was uncomfortable. As advertised, there were walks from the cottage door, lovely for dog walkers, also there were dog towels supplied for anyone who had forgotten their own. This cottage is an ideal base for those who want to go out and explore all the time. However, parking can be awkward for the larger car owner, but we managed. Another thing that we found was that, at times, the heavy farm machinery in the farmyard behind the cottage became obtrusive, especially as the windows and doors were open in the hot weather .

The cottage is lovely and comfortable and well equipped. Beautiful decoration and nice furniture. The garden was great to sit out (weather lovely) and for the dog. Lovely walks from the cottage and near to great coast and countryside, including the Broads. Information left was really helpful. The parking at the front of the cottage is ok if your are a confident parker and the owners gave us the tip to reverse in from the farm to make life easier. We had a lovely long weekend which was restful and peaceful and we had lovely walks and saw lots of wildlife.

Grebe Cottage was spotlessly clean. Couldn’t find fault with that aspect at all. We loved the cows directly behind the house on the farm & it was lovely to wake up to cows mooing and cockerels crowing, so totally different to home. There are no amenities in the village, except the pub, so you have to travel to nearby Martham for any shops etc. We felt that the kitchen wasn’t equipped enough for the maximum number of people, with only 4 side plates, dinner plates, bowls, mugs, glasses etc & only two saucepans, one frying pan & one glass ovenproof dish. You couldn’t easily cook a meal there if you were staying for a while. We were only there for breakfast, as we went out to eat the rest of the time, so it didn’t matter too much. In addition the double bed was really hard and uncomfortable, although for somebody else it may be fine, but there were no spare pillows or blankets should you need them. One of the biggest drawbacks is the parking & getting up and down the narrow lane to the property, especially as you have to reverse the length of the road in order to get the car parked on the hard standing directly in front of the property. If you had a big car or one that is very long you would struggle.

After being let down at the very last minute, the owners very kindly let us the cottage for the weekend the day before. We were thrilled to have found such a beautiful and comfortable cottage. My little one ran from bedroom window to bedroom window in excitement of seeing cows, a tractor and the Broads out of one and chickens out of the other. We had a wonderfully relaxing long Easter weekend filled with gorgeous walks and a day at Horsey beach seeing the seal colony. We plan to stay again one summer, would recommend Grebe cottage to anyone who is looking for a relaxing break

Cottage was lovely, very clean and comfortable. However it is in an odd location backing onto a cow shed full of cattle and facing a building site. Parking is very difficult, the allocated space is small and it is difficult to get out of.
