We was really looking forward to staying at Grambla, it looked lovely, the setting fantastic and ideal for us and our 2 Beagles. All I can say is disappointing. First problem parking. The access from the only road into the village is tight, so tight I nearly scrapped the paint on both sides of the car just trying to get into the access, there is a warning about the gradiant to the property, however can not stress how steep it is, my wife has some mobility issues and had to help her too and from the property. The allocated parking is a nightmare, if the other space is being used it is almost impossible to get your car out unless you take small movements. And as for getting onto the road, the access is blind so you can not see what is coming in either direction so you do need to be guided out. The property itself was nice, neat. However, there is NO Garden as such, a footpathed front with a small wall about a foot high that our smallest dog took in one bound. The Rear area is in permanent shadow (courtyard) and as for the seating area, well if your a Mountain Goat you will make it. We thank the owner for the Milk, Scones, Jam and Dog biscuits, very welcome after such a long drive. Downstairs living room is comfortable and the stable style door very welcome to get some air in, however the blinds on the window are old and need some repair, the small wall mounted TV has reception issues (freeview) and is very small. The Dining room is small and basic, the kitchen and lower bathroom (roll top bath is bliss after a long day) are very well presented. Up the almost vertical stairs the Main Bedroom is quite large for a cottage this size, shame the Bed isn't, unfortunately both my wife and myself are on the large side and we ended up with one of us in the double the other in one of the singles in the twin room all week. The ensuite shower room is nice, but with the step inside its a bit hazardous until you get used to it especially at night. The property could do with a bit of a deep clean as signs of mould, damp/stains and furniture will need replacing sooner that late. Also whilst we was there, in the bay windows there where black ants coming in and out, not many but enough for the dogs to get interested. The Village is very very basic, the Hotel/Pub at the end of the road seemed overpriced and was busy everynight of our visit, the Chippy at the old lifeboat sation was fantastic and gave good portions and service. The couple of boutiques are typical beach souvenir shops and the community shop is ok, but Helston has a good sized Sainsbury's and Tesco on the main road and easy to get too. Thanks to the owners for the tide clock, very handy for those who do not know how to read a tide chart. The local beach is boulders and heavy pebbles with only small patches of sand and again the sea wall is very high so quite a climb up and down. But plenty of other beaches around the area even for those taking their dogs with them. Best attraction is the Seal Sanctuary (dogs permitted!), Falmouth well worth a visit too. I am sorry to say we would not visit again as the lack of Garden and Accesability issues would be an issue. Sorry to sound negative about things but want to say we still despite the issues have a good holiday and it was a good experience. Finally and this is not a fault of the owners. Your Bin area is a disgrace, there must have been a good months worth of rubbish and recycling there but the local councils recycling instructions are pretty complicated and seem very strange plus taking the rubbish to the bottom of the slope was not practical as there was so much of it, sorry.

A wonderful cosy cottage in the heart of a beautiful part of Cornwall. Well equipped and lots of lovely little touches made it a perfect stay.

Our only negative comment is that when we arrived on a cold day the heating was turned off so it was really cold. It did warm up fairly quickly but would have been much more welcoming to have been warm on arrival. Apart from this the cottage was great.

We love this cottage! It's so cute with its low ceilings and little doors, but once you are inside it surprisingly has lots of space. We found the cottage very clean and it had everything we needed. The wifi is great too. We loved the cream tea that awaited us on arrival, lovely after a nine hour drive!! The location is great for seeing lots of Cornwall. Coverack is our perfect place to stay, quiet but has everything you need. Plenty of places to eat out and a local shop for bread, milk etc. We would love to visit Grambla Cottage again.
