The cottage itself was exactly right for us, unpretentious, roomy, and, once the central heating had kicked in, really warm. The rooms downstairs were large and uncluttered, the kitchen big enough to fit all of us around the table for Christmas dinner without problem, and, upstairs, plenty of room in each of the bedrooms. There were a few niggles - the log fire was very hard to light and keep going (it was more decorative than functional, though the wood for it was on a "help yourself" basis), one light had no bulb in when we arrived, and we were given a bayonet instead of an Edison screw, but perhaps the main difficulty we had was the lack of mobile phone reception, which, coupled with the lack of internet provision, made it very hard to keep in touch with the outside world. A member of the stable staff confirmed that there was indeed no such provision! There was no television reception - at all - either, making it quite a challenge to keep a two-year-old amused! There were definite plusses - we read a lot in the evenings, played board games, and went for long ( and frequently very muddy) walks, all of which were very pleasant. The surrounding area is beautiful, with Ludlow, Leominster and Tenbury a stone's throw away, though beware the very narrow roads - if you get caught by a lorry coming the other way, you may have to reverse a long way! And the natives (the horses) were very friendly, as were the staff and the owners. We would go again, without any doubt, but in the new knowledge that communication with the outside world would be something of a challenge!

Lovely cottage and beautiful location. unfortunately there was an issue with the oven in that the element had failed and we could not heat the oven. The owners allowed us to use their oven in the main house to cook our roast dinner on Sunday and the oven was fixed by the Monday evening! There was very limited signal but it was quite nice to be away from that for a week. Kids loved the horse riding and generally a great time had by all.

Lovely house. Needs a little tender love and care. Otherwise good location for Ludlow castle and Leominster. Nice big garden/orchard.

We really enjoyed our stay, was a beautiful bank holiday weekend. There is no WiFi or phone signal, shame but we improvised and made a great weekend of it. It’s spacious and clean, the night sky is beautiful if your into astronomy that is. Tenbury Wells is 15 mins drive down the road, so worth mentioning. Would I go again absolutely.

Lovely spacious house, perfect for our family's birthday getaway. Very comfortable, remote and quiet.

Overall we had a lovely holiday at Grafton Grove. It's cosy, very comfortable, warm and peaceful. Considering pets are allowed we were pleased with how clean the property was, no dog hairs. On the negative side, there was no complimentary welcome pack as have received at other holiday properties, we weren't welcomed by the owners and shown around like we've experienced at most other properties, although do appreciate they were busy working on the farm but little things like that and difficult to shower properly as the shower head needed replacing and some sundries missing that are normally provided at other properties would have made all the difference.

Lovely cottage, comfortable and clean, and by the second day, warm and cosy. Our only concern about the property was that the hot water was a bit hit and miss. It sits in beautiful countryside - though we never quite got our bearings on how to get there once we'd left one of the surrounding main roads - but that is our fault and not the cottage's!
