Had a lovely long weekend. The cottage was huge and had everything you needed. We even made a full Sunday Roast for 8 people. The surroundings are beautiful but it is a 10 minute drive to the nearest pub / village. There was no signal or WiFi, so great if you want to get away from it all. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again. Great value for money. We loved the leather sofas and log fire.

What a perfect cottage! Tucked away in the sticks with only fields, stables and a couple of other houses nearby. A lovely location away from it all. The house was so warm and cozy. The huge kitchen was my favourite room with its huge table. We all (7adults) had a lovely roast dinner around that huge table. We were there to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. All 7 of us and 2 dogs enjoyed a weekend together and then our children and their partners left leaving just the two of us and our 2 dogs. Although the weather wasn't perfect, we did lots of walking. We also did lots of cooking in that lovely kitchen and eating! Virtually no mobile signal which we enjoyed very much! Leominster and it's antique shops was very enjoyable. For us, this cottage was perfect. We'll definitely be going back.

The cottage itself was exactly right for us, unpretentious, roomy, and, once the central heating had kicked in, really warm. The rooms downstairs were large and uncluttered, the kitchen big enough to fit all of us around the table for Christmas dinner without problem, and, upstairs, plenty of room in each of the bedrooms. There were a few niggles - the log fire was very hard to light and keep going (it was more decorative than functional, though the wood for it was on a "help yourself" basis), one light had no bulb in when we arrived, and we were given a bayonet instead of an Edison screw, but perhaps the main difficulty we had was the lack of mobile phone reception, which, coupled with the lack of internet provision, made it very hard to keep in touch with the outside world. A member of the stable staff confirmed that there was indeed no such provision! There was no television reception - at all - either, making it quite a challenge to keep a two-year-old amused! There were definite plusses - we read a lot in the evenings, played board games, and went for long ( and frequently very muddy) walks, all of which were very pleasant. The surrounding area is beautiful, with Ludlow, Leominster and Tenbury a stone's throw away, though beware the very narrow roads - if you get caught by a lorry coming the other way, you may have to reverse a long way! And the natives (the horses) were very friendly, as were the staff and the owners. We would go again, without any doubt, but in the new knowledge that communication with the outside world would be something of a challenge!

Lovely cottage and beautiful location. unfortunately there was an issue with the oven in that the element had failed and we could not heat the oven. The owners allowed us to use their oven in the main house to cook our roast dinner on Sunday and the oven was fixed by the Monday evening! There was very limited signal but it was quite nice to be away from that for a week. Kids loved the horse riding and generally a great time had by all.

Lovely house. Needs a little tender love and care. Otherwise good location for Ludlow castle and Leominster. Nice big garden/orchard.
