Description

This stunning holiday home lies in a elevated position, boasting panoramic views over the golf course and the sea beyond.

Enjoying an elevated position overlooking Prestatyn and with panoramic sea views, Gorse Hill offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in one of North Wales’ most popular coastal resorts. This impressive detached home, which is located along a quiet lane with private gated access, has been designed for modern living with spacious reception rooms, well equipped kitchen, contemporary bathrooms and comfortable bedrooms. Perfect for larger families, this beautifully presented property has multiple TVs as well as Wi-Fi, and outdoors there is play equipment for smaller children and a games room with a pool table and TV, ideal for keeping the older children entertained on a rainy day. The garden, which extends over multiple levels, is the ideal spot from which to take in the superb views whilst dining al fresco.
Gorse Hill is located just 1 mile from the centre of Prestatyn, with its sandy beach and wide range of amenities which includes shops, bars, cafés, restaurants, cinema, bowling and a retail park. Prestatyn also holds a market three times per week. The town is located on the famous Offa’s Dyke Path, making this a great location for walkers. This 176-mile national trail, which links Prestatyn to the city of Bangor, follows the border between England and Wales and takes in the remains of Offa’s Dyke, a large earthwork which is thought to have been constructed by King Offa of Mercia in the late 700s. Another trail called the North Wales Path also begins in Prestatyn and there are lots of lovely walks in the nearby Clwydian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Prestatyn is also a good location for those who enjoy visiting historical landmarks and attractions including the beautifully preserved Roman Bath House just outside the town.
Other popular activities in the area include cycling and there is a cycling centre and a BMX race track in Rhyl, horse riding and the golf course which Gorse Hill overlooks. Prestatyn also has the Nova Centre which is a multi-million pound leisure centre which offers swimming, gym, café/restaurants and children’s soft play area. Families with children will enjoy a visit to Rhyl, 5 miles away, with its SeaQuarium, miniature railway and Drift Park Water Play Area. Other popular days out for the family include Chester Zoo, 30 miles away and the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno, 25 miles away. There are many castles in the area including Rhuddlan Castle that was built in the 1270s by King Edward I, Bodelwyddan Castle, 9 miles and the ruins of 13th century Denbigh Castle, 15 miles. There are several National Trust properties in the area including Bodnant Garden, 24 miles, and Erdigg Hall, 40 miles. Other places worth visiting within easy driving distance include the historic city of Chester, 30 miles, Conwy, 23 miles, and Snowdonia National Park, 40 miles, making this an ideal touring base. With so much to see and do all year round and offering superb comfort and facilities, Gorse Hill really is the perfect coastal escape for families and friends of all ages and interests. We booked Gorse Hill for a long weekend as a large group of friends. Honestly, just can’t fault the place. For the 10 of us, the place was just right. Very spacious, enough bathrooms, large kitchen / dining space and a huge lounge. The location is also fab. Excellent views from the lounge. Lots of walks nearby and local ameneties are only a short drive from the accommodation. Also, Tony is an excellent host...came to meet us about half a mile from the accomodation to guide us to the accommodation...had the accommodation ready for us on arrival and throughout the stay he couldn’t do more for us. In future we hope to come back as a group again and also with the kids. Thank you Tony!

We had an amazing stay at this house with the family. We had booked this as a surprise for the family and they had no idea where they were staying so it was quite a shock for them to arrive at this wonderful house. Electric gates on entry and a massive driveway. The views are fabulous. They are even better on the top level of the house and the sea is much closer than you think. The house is much bigger than we had anticipated.Every room is finished to a very high standard and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The log cabin is a nice extra too although we didn't use it as it was just too cold. The house had lovely underfloor heating throughout and there was plenty of clean towels provided.Beds were so comfortable with their own ensuite bathrom. Gorse hill was also spotlessly clean with lovely thick carpets in every room upstairs. A lovely touch especially during the colder months. we would definitely recommend this house to anyone, Great for family get togethers or group stays. Immaculately presented and we would love to return in the summer. Thankyou Tony for letting us feel like the rich and famous in your Beautiful home. We look forward to coming back very soon. This property is stunningly presented, spacious and well equipped. The panoramic view is the most impressive part, especially as the sun is setting. The owner was attentive and promptly sorted the minor requests. We would go again, as even out of season (when it's cheaper!) the games room is great! Thanks.

A very enjoyable family get together plenty of space for every one and all ages catered for. Children loved the play area and being able to walk up into the woods, games room was a bonus. Comfortably furnished and good for all 11 of us to sit together at the same table. views spectacular and very handy for everywhere. Would recommend Gorse Hill and hope return in the future.

All I can say is that Gorse Hill is out of this world and the whole party who stayed there were blown away. It was absolutely stunning. The directions given were great and nothing was too much trouble. Would defiantly book again if ever in the area.
