This attractive well-equipped detached holiday home is only a few minutes’ walk to the marina, harbour and shops of the friendliest port in Britain. Amble has a good selection of eateries with an award-winning ice cream shop on the harbour, where boat trips to Coquet Island can be taken. It has a conservatory and garden and is located 2 minutes drive from Warkworth with its hillside castle, river walks and pubs. Alnwick with its famous castle and gardens is 9 miles. Seahouses, Bamburgh, Craster and Beadnell are approximately 30 minutes away. Newcastle is 50 minutes. Shop 600 yards, pub 500 yards, restaurant 0.5 miles.

    Why do rentals never stock toilet paper? Our first task on arrival was to buy some. On saying that there were dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, kitchen cloths and rubbish bags. Every thing else met our needs and the property was in a very good location. Some minor complaints that could be addressed by the owners? Please put mattress and pillow covers on all the bedding and repair/replace the broken seat on the the two seater couch in the lounge. Great WiFi and access to the huge garage once we worked out that you had to connect the motor for the electronic doors. Over all very satisfied with 4 gentleman golfers visiting the area for the first time.

    Lovely house and nice quiet location. However, the house is looking a little tired and could do with a lick of paint and few odd jobs doing. A settee was broken and toilet roll holders were hanging on by a thread etc. Once these little things have been sorted out it would a sound base for exploring.

    Superb detached house with spacious gardens and a great touring base for Northumberland. Some of the furnishings were a little tired - with a little TLC this would go from good to great.

    Really nice house great location lots to see and do the only down side was it wasn’t very clean also no mattress proctors and some pillows were very stained no DVD player which was advertised some of the blinds were broken as was one of the sofas but we still had a good time there it was left a lot cleaner than when we arrived

    Fantastic cottage in a perfect location for exploring the local area and beyond. This was our third visit to this property and definitely won’t be our last. Unfortunately there were a few little niggles with the property eg no DVD player as advertised, dirty bins on arrival and blinds that didn’t work around the house. This won’t deter us coming back but it would be nice if this was rectified by our next visit
