Description

An attractive ground floor conversion just minutes from the coastal resort of Perranporth.

Sea Views

These attractive, converted farm buildings have been finished to a very good standard of holiday accommodation and are surrounded by green fields and only minutes from Perranporth. Perranporth on the dramatic North Cornwall Coast, has a stunning 3 miles of golden sand, backed by dunes and rolling fields. Right on the sand is a superb beach bar and restaurant with live music, good food and local ales. The coastal town is very family friendly with many surf, gift and local shops that line the high street that leads down to the beach. Surfing and surf hire can be found locally as well as a local golf course and horse riding which are both only minutes from Pencrennow. West of Perranporth is the coastal village of St. Agnes, and the quaint village of Crantock is to the east, both a must for the craft shops, stunning beaches and cliff walks. The surfing town of Newquay with its seven beaches is just minutes away with its many attractions which include a zoo, Sea Life Centre, Creally Adventure Park, Lappa Valley Steam Railway, leisure centre, golf course, pitch and putt course, parks and gardens. Newquay has many restaurants, cafés and shops as well as beaches and dramatic cliff top walks. With its beaches comes surf and surf schools, so you can try your hand at this exhilarating sport. Truro, the capital of Cornwall, is easily reached and is a must to explore the narrow cobbled streets and enjoy the restaurants, shopping, museum, cinema and theatre for an alternative day or evening out. Padstow, home to Rick Stein’s food empire is a must visit for all the family. Wander around the narrow streets that all lead to the working harbour and enjoy the ambience provided by this traditional, working fishing village. This stretch of coastline is dotted with quiet beaches, secluded coves and has a rich history of smuggling. There are many National Trust houses and gardens, such as Trerice Manor, Lanhydrock House, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, all within easy reach of these lovely holiday cottages. The Gatehouse very nice and was ideal for two people.we used to visit Perranporth when we were younger. On returning this year we found it very different( not as nice). This is why we would not return to the Gatehouse. We visited plenty of places ,St Ives, Truro, Newquay, Padstow, St Agnes all very nice.

We enjoyed our week at the Gatehouse. It had everything we needed and was comfortable and well positioned for visiting many places nearby.

We love the Gatehouse we have been 3 times now. Maureen and Ricky are very attentive and make sure your stay is a good one. It's quiet, peaceful, for us it's been a great place to escape too, a home from home. Can't wait to go back again. Dave and Carol.

The property was very good regarding, location, parking, facilities and equipment. The only small downside was the general cleaniless of the shower particularly the trap. However, it was a great break for us with the location ideal for the places we visited. Would go back again.

Really pleased with the cottage location, quiet and secluded but with quick and easy access to Perranporth. Was able to enjoy the sunshine all day from patio to front of cottage. Launderette a bonus as local facility busy from previous experiences in and around the area. My wife preferred the cottage to others we have used before and wants to return next year. All in all a very pleasant time was had by both my wife and I

Had a really great time. First time we have done cottages, and was very impressed had everything we needed, wifi would have been an advantage, but we went to the Bollingey pub three times that week and used theirs, so didn't miss out altogether. Lovely 20 minute walk to Perranporth with lovely big beach and lots going on. Lovely walks over the cliffs as well and lots of other things to do when we went out in car. Ricky the warden was very pleasant and accommodating, really cannot fault a thing. Have already recommended it to friends and would definitely go back.
