Great rural location Pictures don't do justice to size of the place, as there's plenty of room and a good sized garden to enjoy Ruth has perfect host - attentive without being overbearing and we'd recommend

The cottage is a mile down a very narrow winding country lane with a number of blind bends and a possibility of meeting extremely wide farm machinery coming the other way. The cottage itself is faultless, clean and well provisioned but the bovine perfume emanating from the cow byre close by takes some getting used to. It prevented us from enjoying the rear garden facilities. One point highly in the favour of the cottage it is on the border of Devon, Somerset and Dorset so there are many places to visit for the day. There is a supermarket, pubs and a variety of restaurants in Chard about 4 and a half miles away. We had a really delicious meal in the Indian restaurant towards the top of the town. The reason we would not go back again is that my wife and I have hired a number of cottages in the past and generally do not go back to the same cottage twice.
