The stunning adjoining 17th Century cottages, with beams salvaged from shipwrecks on the Cumbrian coast and wood-burning stoves, lie in an idyllic rural location, forming part of a small former farmstead accessed from the fell road by a gated unmade track. Ganny Cottage is traditionally and comfortably decorated throughout. The open plan living space has a wood burner, tiled floors and beams creating a cosy, rustic feel with French doors leading to the garden and letting in lots of natural light. One step takes you to the dining area and well-equipped kitchen. You’ll really enjoy cooking up a treat at the end of an exciting day. Beyond the kitchen is the cottage bathroom with shower over bath. Narrow stairs lead you to the galleried first floor landing and the double bedroom which boasts a gorgeous four poster double bed and calm interior decorating ensuring a relaxing night’s sleep.
Take the path to Stanley Force Waterfall, discover the ‘jewels’ of the River Esk and the ancient village of Boot, or walk to Devoke Water, the largest tarn in the Lake District. Majestic Wastwater, the coast and unspoilt beaches are a short drive away. Shop and pub 3 miles.
Ganny Cottage can be booked together with Ganny House (LVL) to accommodate up to 8 guests.
