The cottage is lovely and secluded with amazing views. So blissfully quiet in the mornings. My partner thought the tea set was a nice touch, but couldn’t find a tray. It was nice to see that previous reviews were noted and acted upon. The garden is now separated into two. A few reasons we would be reluctant to stay again are: The water was brown (“due to low water level”) so we couldn’t (didn’t want to) drink it or bathe in it. However, the care taker did bring some bottled water when we reported it. Thank you for that. Upon arrival, the cottage had a strong damp smell, but this didn’t last after we aired the cottage out. The dogs are not allowed up stairs. Sheep roam freely outside the cottage fence line. (Not a problem to most but personally I felt uncomfortable to take my dog jogging in the morning.) The mattress was comfortable but the wooden bed was squeaky. Lastly, one of the pillows smelt like human, was creased, and had makeup on it. Possibly forgotten to be changed...? Who knows. Overall, the cottage has a lot of potential. The living room and kitchen being open plan is a real bonus. P.s. if you plan to make pancakes...you’ll need to bring your own whisk! :)
