The cottage was run down and in need of cleaning properly. Older buildings do suffer with damp which I can live with. The appliances were old but still working. The mattress was in need of replacement but made up with fresh Bedding. The curtains were covered with dust and cobwebs. The bath was full of dirt from the beams above. I cleaned all I could the hover had as much suck as a blocked straw. I am not over fussy I don't mind a bit of dirt. But I would sack the cleaner !
