Aneirin is one of five traditional Welsh stone and slate cottages nestled in an idyllic spot with truly fantastic valley views over the Pembrokeshire meadows and woodlands, the perfect retreat in which to switch off and get away from life’s hustle and bustle.
Aneirin offers a spacious base, with a large living room with patio doors leading to your private patio and lawned garden area - perfect for your children to play in and enjoy those balmy summer days. For cooking that special meal, there is a large, well-equipped, galley-style kitchen which leads into the open plan dining area, which is a really light and bright spacious area, great for getting together. Both bedrooms on the first floor are spacious and offer an excellent contemporary level of comfort, complete with en-suite bathrooms. These characterful cottages have been lovingly converted from the original farm at Fron Fawr to provide a fantastic base to explore this part of West Wales and have stunning views. On-site there is a livestock/pets corner where guests can view and feed the animals.
Fron Fawr Cottages are set amongst 32 acres of green pastureland and woodland. The hamlet of Boncath is within a short walk and the Pembrokeshire coastline is just 5 miles away, where the 186 miles of National Park footpath begin between Cardigan and Amroth in the south, taking in some truly exceptional coves, beaches and cliffs.
The historic market town of Cardigan is only 10-minute drive away. Here you can find a plethora of eateries specialising in local home cooked produce, step back in time at the 11th-century restored Cardigan Castle or take in a play at the theatre.
A visit to Cenarth Falls is not to be missed, and if timed well, you can see the salmon leaping up the falls, which really is a fantastic sight, or take a short trip to the Welsh Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran which runs along the banks of the River Teifi, 2 mile away, famous for coracle fishing (licence required, day permits available). Fishermen can also find fishing off the coast, 5 miles away (no cost), and there are also a number of coarse fishing lakes within 10-15 miles. A great day out for all is the walled town of Tenby complete with sandy beach. Oakwood, Wales’ largest theme park, Heatherton World of Adventure, and Folly Farm Zoo are all within a 40-minute drive a fantastic family days out. Beach 7 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Aneirin can be booked together with Myrddin (ref UK10307), Glyndwr (ref UK10309), Madog (ref UK10310) and Taliesin (ref UK10312) to accommodate up to 26 guests.

We had a great time at the cottage, using it as a base to explore the surrounding area. All the places recommend by Helen were great and we had really good food whilst there. The only real criticism I would make is that the pillows need replacing, they were flat and hard and the beds were s little too soft for our liking but maybe great for others. Also it would have been nice to have a Hoover, we has two dogs in the cottage for 7 days and would have liked to Hoover the carpet every couple. But overall had a great time a lovely place to stay

We all had a very enjoyable holiday with Aneirin located in a very accessible area with stunning views of the countryside. We were made very welcome by Helen and the welcome pack was very useful and the flowers a nice touch. Helen provided good information on where to visit and where to eat! The hot tub was good for relaxing at the end of the day.

Peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. Helen (the owner) was very helpful and attentive with excellent recommendations for pubs, places to go etc. Good cottage for the dog. Enclosed rear garden, although the fence is not very high so if you have a Houdini or a jumper they'll soon be out. Nice big field at the back plus woods for dog walking. Hot tub is large and a real bonus. We haven't got kids but noticed there was a play area and a huge communal garden area for playing. Great area to visit. Will definitely go again.
