Within easy driving distance is the cathedral city of Hereford, host to the Three Choirs Festival every third year, Hay-on-Wye, renowned for its books festival and known as the book capital of the world, the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye, and the black and white town of Ledbury, popular for its poetry festivals. There are many places of historical interest, including castles, churches and museums.
