Beautiful house and beautiful location. Lots of good walking, including leisurely 40 minutes to The Moon Inn at Mordiford (or 20 minutes if you walk very fast and don't have the dog or wives with you!!!) There were just 3 things which the group (6 of us) didn't like; 1. Very thin walls which meant you could hear everything across the property. This meant those who wanted to stay up late kept others awake. 2. Lack of mattress protectors on all beds 3. Lots of spiders webs in high up places and slit windows. We loved the reclusiveness hence no amenities (no problem) bring your own, plus owner supplied initial basics. We had a fabulous long weekend and we were very happy to recommend. About 15 minutes from Hereford. Take your walking boots and provisions and ENJOY! Thank you Miranda!!!!!!

Our second visit. Had an amazing week. Already looked to book again the same time next year. Unfortunately, for some reason the price has increased by about £200.

The cottage is lovely and with beautiful scenery, peace & quiet makes it an ideal location for relaxing. It works well for a family get together, which we used it for. Have to have a car to get to local shops if you need things. The only criticism I have is the amount of cobwebs around the windows, appreciate there are tall ceilings, but they have been there for a while? Also the small kitchen windows have loads of cobwebs around them too, I know your will not get rid of cobwebs, but a dust around every now & then would make the look out better.

Lovely cottage. Ample room. Well equipped; especially appreciated the child safety gates, cot and high chair. Gorgeous back garden and view - really special and unexpected. There were a couple of minor disappointments - lots of flies, broken bins and a couple of areas that could have been slightly cleaner - but they were really minor and didn’t detract from our enjoyment. Would stay here again.

lovely, quiet location. House was well equipped but lacking in tea spoons! log burner was great and we did try it out. All bedrooms had en-suites and the showers were powerful, which is not always the case. Owners welcome hamper was a lovely touch. The locals were very friendly and helpful. Hereford was only 15 minutes away and had all the conveniences needed. Eastnore Castle very close and worth a visit. Very good location for wildlife spotting, buzzards, deer, swifts but alas no sighting of the Mordiford dragon:). Would happily recommend a stay at Barley House.

We had a wonderful time at the barn, lots of space for our family and wonderful views. There was everything you could need especially with having our grandson with us and we cannot recommend this place enough. Just wonderful, clean and comfortable even down to the thoughtfulness of the welcome bread, milk, eggs and butter! Not a place to miss!

Excellent property with excellent facilities and beautiful surroundings. Shops and pubs nearby, would highly recommend the Sunday roast at The Moon pub down the road. Location is quite central, and nothing is too far to drive too. Accommodation is of good size and the bedrooms and bathrooms are beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

A lovely open planned barn conversion holiday house. All the rooms were comfortable, all the bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and the house was very clean throughout. Would definitely be happy to stay again.
