Within a 15-minute walk of the beach, this cottage sits in a prime location for touring and is perfect for a getaway to the North Cornwall Coast.

This detached bungalow, sitting in the grounds of its larger sister property, Freefolk (ref W44129), is situated just a few hundred yards from the North Cornwall Coast and just a 15-minute walk from the beautiful sandy surfing beach, shops, pubs and restaurants of Polzeath. In fact, once you have parked up, you really don’t need the car since you can just stroll down the sandy path to the beach or the village. Polzeath is a pretty little village set behind a fine sandy beach which is known for its good surfing, where you will find surf board hire and lessons to enjoy. The cafés, restaurants and bars all serve local ales and home-cooked food, many with terraces that overlook this super beach.
Just a short drive away are the coastal resorts of Rock and Daymer Bay, where you can find a variety of water sports or take a ferry across to Padstow with its array of pubs, shops and restaurants, including Rick Stein’s famous fish restaurant. Wadebridge is 7 miles, where you can cycle or walk the popular Camel Trail. Also within easy reach are the many seaside resorts on the North Cornwall Coast including Newquay with its famous surfing beaches, zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. Further up the coast are Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series ‘Doc Martin’; Tintagel, the mythical home of King Arthur; and Boscastle with its pretty harbour. Beach 300 yards. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 150 yards.

Fantastic location at the top of the hill so a good workout walking back from the beach. Fantastic beach with lots of cafes & a local store open long hours. We would go back there.

The location was great and was 10 minute walk to the beach. The cottage was very clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this cottage to our friends and family. I would be very happy to come here again.

A most relaxing holiday venue with wonderful short walk to the coastal path for some excellent walking and sunsets. The food in the White Heron is highly recommended with excellent presentation and service. The cleanliness of the cottage was very good The only bad point was the entrance to the private road from the main road which had suffered in the spring rains. But using the other entrance through the other holiday cottages where the tarmac road was ok.

This is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting. It was spotlessly clean and there was even a some milk left int the fridge so we were able to have a cup of tea on arrival. The immediate area was very peaceful and the garden looked over a field where baby rabbits were playing and feeding in the early evenings. Access to the coastal path is just along the private road leading down to Polzeath with an uphill walk all the way back. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend this cottage in an instant.
