Sympathetically converted, these super barn conversions (refs PRRJ and PRRK), previously the egg store of a renowned chicken farm, stand side by side adjacent to the owners’ home, which is on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Kirdford. Close to the South Downs National Park, these attractive holiday barns are ideal for couples wishing to stroll, cycle, fish, play golf or visit the numerous attractions within easy reach. Foxleigh Farm Barns has close access to an extensive network of footpaths, leading to the unspoilt part of the low weald, a haven for birds and wildlife. The quaint village of Petworth is 5 miles away, with its plentiful antique shops, beautiful stately home and Capability Brown designed gardens and parkland, where many functions and events can be enjoyed during the summer months. The charming small town of Midhurst, famous for polo at Cowdray Park is also a short drive, as are Billingshurst, Haslemere and Guildford. Goodwood, with its motor racing and horse racing, Fontwell races, West Dean Gardens, Parham House, The Weald, Downland Open Air Museum and the South Downs are all within easy driving distance, as is the cathedral city of Chichester with its extensive shopping and tea rooms, festival theatre and harbour tours. Alternatively, the town of Arundel with its famous castle and cathedral, plus the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust are both well worth a visit. The Witterings and other beaches are a half-hour’s drive and numerous golf courses are within easy reach. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Really comfortable, clean accommodation, handy for the dog walks, friendly host. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a break in the countryside, yet close to the local village.

A beautiful place to stay, owner was really friendly and cottage was extremely clean and tidy with all the facilities and comforts needed. Local amenities marked slightly lower as only a village store and a couple of pubs but we had taken everything we needed with us so didn’t need the amenities. Could have a bigger sofa for more comfort which was the only change I would make internally. For a weekend away from it all this is the place to go, we walked for miles in the lovely countryside with our dog and were made welcome everywhere we went.

We had a lovely time at the Coop and enjoyed both the local walks in Kirdford and the more challenging walks on the Downs. Dogs enjoyed themselves too!

The Coop was a wonderful place to stay, we couldn’t fault the location, the comfort or facilities, and it was really good value. In our opinion this property should be at the top of the list of places to stay for 2. It is very well placed for places to visit in the South Downs, and was beautifully quiet to return to each day. Very pleased we chose this property.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The situation was a very quiet spot and a handy location to get to places of interest. Plenty of local walks without even needing to use the car. Lovely little garden/patio area with table and chairs which was a delight to sit in, especially as we were blessed with really good weather. Definitely recommend "The Coop".

We had a fantastic stay at The Coop. The owners were welcome and there was a lovely welcome pack of fresh eggs, milk and wine waiting for us when we arrived. The place itself was lovely and clean, and was well furnished with all the cooking equipment you’d need. The garden was truly enclosed meaning or dogs were nice and safe, and kept away from the farm animals! Within the surrounding village there are lots of lovely pubs, walks and even a well stocked village store. Nearby, Petworth offers additional amentities and walking spots which are simply stunning. Overall, we loved our stay at The Coop and will absolutely be returning again soon!
