This impressive accommodation sits in a rural location, adjoining the owner’s home, yet with privacy assured. Four Seasons Barn is a spacious barn conversion, which provides a great party house for groups of friends or families wishing to holiday together, and is ideally placed to explore the whole of North Devon. The bedroom configuration offers great flexibility for sleeping arrangements with strong adult bunk beds and two zip and link beds which can be either super kingsize or twin beds on request. The large kitchen/dining room really is the heart of the home at this property, and provides an ideal place for everyone to gather. Young and old will enjoy the games table and the first floor gaming area, as well as the mini football pitch, netball, mini badminton and a selection of lawn games.When your little ones are in bed and you want to relax, there is a private hot tub that boasts stunning views over the countryside, which you can admire with a glass of wine in hand. An above ground swimming pool provides added opportunity for relaxation, situated beyonf the private enclosed garden in the half acre lawn at the rear of the property (may occasionally be shared with the owner). A dog sitting service can be arranged with the owners on arrival (by arrangement with the owner, at cost). There is a children’s corner with an activity table, colouring and board games, and currently there is a baby bath, potty and changing mat available if required. The friendly owners even allow their guests to feed and groom their horses, and even collect fresh eggs from the chickens, providing fantastic entertainment for your children. From April to October you may bring your horse on holiday with you (by arrangement with the owner, at cost). There is a 60m x 25m all-weather arena on-site with show jumps and 3 12ft x 12ft stables and good hacking. Escorted rides can also be arranged as can lessons, and beach rides only a short drive away (restricted times). If you want to throw on your walking boots, guests can explore the 7-acre site which includes a small lake. It’s not uncommon to spot the odd deer or two, geese are regular visitors too. The lake is deep therefore children must be accompanied at all times. Guests can enjoy exclusive use of the lake for coarse fishing. For those without their own tackle, a tackle set including bait can be hired on-site, please arrange this directly with the owners. Limited assistance can be provided for those with little or no experience.If you can tear yourself away from all that there is on offer on-site, there is plenty to see and do around the local area. The nearby Tarka Trail is a great place to spend your day walking or cycling and exploring the area with your loved ones. Alternatively, visit Great Torrington, known as the ’Cavalier Town’ from the Civil War of 1646. Watch glass being blown at Dartington Crystal, or visit the highly acclaimed gardens at RHS Rosemoor. Westward Ho! has 2 miles of sands, where visitors can enjoy fish and chips, an ice cream and a flutter in the amusement arcades. There are many pretty fishing villages to explore including nearby Clovelly and Appledore.The village pub with popular restaurant is on the doorstep, and there are several other good pubs and restaurants within a short drive. You will also have free entry to BlackBerry Farm with its farm shop, cafe and park, ideal for young children, and just a 5-minute drive away. Coastal and country walking, golf, surfing, fishing, horse riding and cycling are all on offer close by, and Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks are a must for nature lovers. Family theme parks such as The Big Sheep and The Milky Way both offer indoor and outdoor activities. With so much to discover in this lovely part of North Devon, this is the perfect choice for a memorable holiday at any time of year. Beach 8 miles. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
