As it was away from it all there were no local shops, cafes or pubs close by but we did not expect any but enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location.

This is the best place we have stayed for comfort, cleanliness and friendliness of the owners. We wouldn't hesitate to book again if we needed a holiday in the area. It is easy to get to Bristol, Bath, Clevedon, Wells, Cheddar etc. The location is convenient for the motorway or the A38 but still situated in a very quiet area surrounded by fields. The lane from Banwell to Four Jays is fairly narrow but with plenty of passing places it isn't a problem.

Probably the best holiday cottage I have stayed at. Everything you need for your stay is in the cottage. If you can't find something, make sure you look, as it will be there. Jill and John, the owners, are lovely people and do everything they can to make sure you have a great holiday. As others have said, the jam, chutney, milk and cakes are a very nice gesture. There were even flowers, even though I was a man on my own. The farm is a working farm, with show sheep. I was lucky enough to be invited to help in preparing the sheep for a show and was then invited to go to the show and show some sheep. Although a bit isolated, there is plenty to see and do within a short driving distance. I visited some National Trust properties and went to Wetson-Super-Mare. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are also within easy driving distance. All-in-all this was a great week away and would highly reccomend Four Jays Cottage.
