Stayed here before and cottage had been painted. Washing machine and tumble dryer working too. Location wonderful and very beautiful. Just a couple of small things let it down and that is it could really do with a better sofa or a big armchair to relax in and other is bedding really needs to be changed now, mattress, duvet & pillows are all past their prime. Apart from that great cottage and beautiful location. Great pub there too and please use the local shop and support it. We had a lovely breakfast there too in the cafe area.

Mattress needs replacing on main bed. No means of opening window in living room and room is a bit smelly. Kitchen has no heating. Cottage looked a bit unclean and stained, needing some upkeep. Mobile signal poor. That said, it has a certain charm - the artwork on the walls were appreciated!

The only problem was that of parking - no parking right outside. But the local Inn were very helpful when I asked if the car could be parked in their car park. Apart from that it was an easy place to stay. There is no TV and no (iD) phone reception, but the wifi was very good. The Inn at Freshford is pretty much next door with excellent food and a great atmosphere. You also have to not mind steepish stairs. The kitchen and bathroom were both very good. The caretaker was very helpful.

Nice location, picturesque little village, close to station and pub. The cottage had no character from the outside but was quite pretty inside, could do with a good clean though. It had everything we needed in the kitchen but we had to wash it first. There was no parking but the pub round the corner allowed us to park there as the roads were all no parking. Kids were quite happy in their bunk beds. There were 4 of us and we did run out of hot water in the mornings. Would not want to stay here again simply because we were too tall and kept bumping heads on the doorframes.
