Nice location, picturesque little village, close to station and pub. The cottage had no character from the outside but was quite pretty inside, could do with a good clean though. It had everything we needed in the kitchen but we had to wash it first. There was no parking but the pub round the corner allowed us to park there as the roads were all no parking. Kids were quite happy in their bunk beds. There were 4 of us and we did run out of hot water in the mornings. Would not want to stay here again simply because we were too tall and kept bumping heads on the doorframes.

Very disappointed. Cottage undergoing renovation. We were aware that the outside was being painted and scaffolding in situ. Has potential to be lovely when finished. Fridge only slightly cooler than air temperature (needs replacing) Only one log provided for log burner (enough for 1 fire promised) No parking space outside cottage ( belongs to neighbour). Sofa awaiting reupholstering. Bed soft but adequate. General clutter belonging to owners throughout. Shower/ bathroom modernised and wonderful. Log burner good (we took our own logs fortunately) well appointed kitchen. Great location. Local pub excellent.

Great location and a Cosy cottage perfect for our weekend away. The pub is ideal for drinks or food and the local community shop is a pleasant walk away - Friday night pizza is available in the car park. The only negative is the parking - we had been told to park in the road opposite - but we had notices put on our car telling us the road is private - but the pub were happy for us to leave our car there.

Location is just wonderful. Set in the beautiful village of Freshford just outside Bath. Literally a few doors down from local pub, which is a brilliant refurbished pub too (though closed Mondays). The cottage itself really does need certain things updating. During our stay washing machine wasn't working, there is no TV, hardly any mobile signal but wifi is provided and also a radio/cd player. Lounge needs some attention and a larger sofa. Did have to give it a really good clean at start of stay which shouldn't really have to do. Also note there are 2 entrance doors. First you can't lock from inside and the second main door you can. However, the location of this cottage is astounding that all those things are forgotten. The village is just beautiful. Great walks, beautiful views and countryside beckons just outside your door. The houses locally are all so beautiful. There is a village shop which sells the essentials with it own cafe and I loved walking to this each day as the walk is just stunning. If you wish to escape from it all and just enjoy some peace and quiet and beautiful scenery this is your place to go. The owner should really give downstairs a sorting and it would be perfect. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Lovely week, especially if you have dogs, they will love it.

Loved the cottage and beautiful village. It was a perfect location to access the city of Bath. However it was disappointing because: - the washing machine didn't work. There was a review saying it was broken back in September. - house rules about dogs were not made clear until we arrived. I have no problem not allowing pets on the furniture. However, it was not made clear we shouldn't take dogs upstairs
