Peaceful location with outdoor walks from your doorstep. Clean and comfortable, with thoughtful basic supplies in the fridge. Would recommend.

I absolutely loved our stay here. Peaceful, tranquil and friendly. The property was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were super comfy and the neighbourhood and village residents were so friendly. Would definitely recommend if you want to see the real Scotland and experience it’s true beauty. Just make sure you bring your shopping as the nearest supermarket is 45minute drive. Oh and definitely bring your own wine! The pub charged me £21 although the lively host left us a bottle!

As there is not much space here, I will have to start on the negatives . The premises was hard to find in an unnamed grass lane off a dirt track. Vehicular access was extremely difficult. No name nor no. on the cottage. The kitchen was large and light, but under resourced in respect of cutlery and crockery. The potato peeler was a joke. The shower had no isolation switch and the temperature of the water bore no resemblance to where the dial was pointing. The bathroom would have benefitted from a shaving mirror. The furniture upstairs was very dated. The rear of tv was spaghetti junction with most wires, coaxial and hdmi, not connected. The tv sounded like it was powered by a swarm of bees. It stopped receiving any signals after Tuesday .There was no cottage information document detailing where things were and how they worked. No details of shops filling stations nor emergency numbers, doctors, dentist etc. Thankfully there is sufficient space to be positive. The cottage was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was oodles of hot water. Lochgoilhead is a beautiful location . I would not recommend Flowerdale nor return unless it receives a radical upgrade
