We stayed at float bay for a week in September. Six adults and two dogs . Fantastic house with plenty of space for all of us to enjoy . Lovely kitchen area , lounge area and great sun room with veranda . Massive bathroom and main bedroom . The two bedrooms upstairs nice and comfy . This is a great ' Dark skies' area to star gaze . It's only 35 minutes to catch the ferry at Cairnryan to Belfast and at £5 return and absolute must . There's some lovely places to visit especially The Mull of Galloway . Great place so tranquil .

A lovely, comfortable cottage to stay in, and with lovely views. We loved it. Only quibble was that a few more forks and desert spoons would be welcome in the kitchen cutlery drawer, and a larger teapot for 4 ( although there was a larger electric teapot !) Otherwise the kitchen and cottage was very well equipped, probably the best in any of the many holiday cottages we've stayed.

A lovely place but a little too remote I had no internet connection because there was no mobile phone connection after the first day & no land so no way of contacting anyone in an emergency. The people who own the property were very nice but I could not contact them as previously stated. There was not enough cutlery so despite having the dishwasher I had to wash cutlery up in the sink. It is a lovely place to get away from it all & we enjoyed the peace & quiet.
