With views overlooking Portland, Weymouth harbour and the start of the Chesil Beach, this end terrace holiday home is next to the main road to Portland and near the South West Coastal Path. This is an excellent location to enjoy Weymouth’s beach, harbour, shops and many family attractions. There is world famous sailing on offer with the National Sailing Academy which was home to the 2012 sailing Olympics. Fishing, swimming and boating are available locally, as well as coastal walking along Chesil Beach and Portland which are all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The property is also within easy driving distance of Dorchester, Bridport and Abbotsbury, with its swannery and tropical gardens. A frequent bus service to Weymouth and Portland passes the property. Beach ¼ mile. Shop and restaurant 100 yards, pub 1 mile.

    We would ask the owners for safety reasons they supply a rubber bath mat, I’m disabled and was a little worried about getting in and of of the bath, ( shower over bath ) the shower ran hot and cold, so possibly needs new or repairing, I wrote in their book about two years ago and it’s in other people’s comments so thought the owners might take note. It’s a nice house with beautiful views could possibly do with up dating. I would stay again if the small problems were put right

    Really nice property in excellent location. Easy access to many lovely walks. House is equipped with everything we needed. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

    We have just spent a couple of days at Ferrybridge view. I get the impression it's a bit like marmite you either love it or hate it. We really enjoyed our stay here and the owners have taken on board all the negative feedback recieved and have acted upon it. The heating is great plus loads of extra heaters and blankets if required. A new heater installed in the bathroom which was a bit chilly even on a warm day. Yes it is a bit dated however it has a two star rating which reflects this, having two kids however I felt more relaxed as a consequence. Plenty of towels, soap, toilet paper, tea towels, washing up liquid and new washing up utensils provided. Very clear instructions on the running of the place. Low usage wifi is provided. There is allocated signed parking behind the property. We will book again.

    Although the cottage was clean, it needs updating, the bathroom was in dire need of attention, not a place for disabled people, there was no mention of steps to the house, also next to a very busy main road, parking was an absolute nightmare,

    Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. We have redecorated the bathroom over the winter. We make no secret that the property is next to a main road. There is parking off the main road immediately behind the property and it is not usually a problem.
