Fabulous cosy lodge, nice extras like milk, biscuits and ice! Lovely host, there if we needed her but otherwise left us to our weekend. Bus stop just next to lodge. Super surrounding dogwalks & plenty pubs in Garstang + an Aldi.

I visited Fernbank Lodge in early December. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner and the lodge itself was warm and cosy. I was pleased that the accommodation was exactly as it looked online. It's a comfy place to rest and relax or to use as a base to visit the area. I had a small dog with me and Fernbank worked well with the enclosed outdoor balcony area and the main road has a path for a quick walk before setting off for a day out. The free wifi came in useful too.

Our stay was a gift from a family member, it was perfect for us as we enjoy walking and there were some lovely walks from the lodge. The lodge was lovely and cosey, tho taller people be careful as the entrance door is low, it was clean and had everything you needed. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The owner was friendly and welcoming and the views were beautiful.

This had everything you needed to start a restful mid week break , good views , comfy seating and bed all we had to bring was our food. The big plus for a larger family is you can rent the cottage next door as well with an open garden which would be ideal for kids in the summer.

Excellent place with everything needed - nice touches like Tea, coffee and milk available on arrival. Very welcoming hosts. One small negative as a dog owner which could be easily solved would be the addition of a small gate on the balcony to allow the dog to walk on the balcony without fear of him wandering around the rest of the grounds
